Vol 4 Chapter 14

When Jeong Seung-jo finally turned around shouting, there was a moment of silence even in the hologram, overwhelmed by his terrifying intensity.

[ ...Good Lord. You, your face is... ]

"He didn't die. He was alive! But I thought it might have been better if he had died. What more do you want me to do?"

[ ...What? ]

"Damn it... I..."

Jeong Seung-jo collapsed into a chair, slowly pressing his forehead and face with both hands as he lowered his head. But beneath, his piercing gaze still leaked through his fingers.

"He said he wanted to meet me..."

Boom boom boom crash!

After a bright light leaked out, an enormous explosion sound followed, and cracks that started from inside the cliff soon shattered miserably and burst outwards. A moment later, two men who walked out from among the dust and rolling rocks were both covered in blood, their clothes torn and wounded all over.

Among them, the man wearing clerical robes with the emblem of Skaga, the god of battle, engraved largely on his chest staggered and plopped down on one of the broken rocks, bursting into wild laughter.

"Hehehe... Wahahahaha!"

Despite his palms being burst and crusted with blood in various places, the man, Kion, carelessly brushed up his disheveled, delinquent-like blonde hair and let out a refreshing shout as he lay down completely on the rock following his maniacal laughter.

"Finally, this damn quest is over! Wahahahahaha!"

"Good for you. Damn it..."

Palton, who was tall enough to feel intimidating just standing still and had a huge sword slung diagonally over his shoulder, sat down beside him, wiping the blood flowing from the corner of his eye.

"When will I finish mine?"

"You slowpoke... You need to find clues faster. Anyway, I'm done now, so I can sleep with my legs stretched out."

In Kion's right hand, which he stretched out to yawn with a grin, was the 'Goddess's Seal', like a proof of victory obtained after the tremendous bloody battle just now. After enviously looking at it for a moment, Palton stretched his legs comfortably and put his sword beside him, moving like a giant lion lying down after finishing a hunt.

"So what are you going to do now?"

"Me? Well, now that I'm all done, I'll help your ass a bit while looking into that Caesar bastard I saw on VTnet recently. And then..."

Kion, who had spilled out words as if he had thought about it beforehand, finally paused and looked up at the blue sky. His clear eyes were overflowing with the greatest joy right now.

"Shouldn't we go see our Kar after a long time?"

"Hmm... Didn't you say those guys were progressing even slower than me? They're not snails, I don't know when they're planning to finish."

However, far from sympathizing with his joy, Palton retorted sarcastically, and Kion jumped up and thrust out his fist mercilessly.

"What did you say, you bastard? You think you're any different? You've solved this much only thanks to me! Oh glorious name of radiant light..."

"Wait!"

As soon as Kion began the incantation of the final spell he had obtained through numerous quests, a brilliant light gathered in his white gloves. Seeing this, Palton raised the flat side of his greatsword like a shield and shouted.

"Alright! I was wrong! Just... go visit Kapros or something."

"Oh, okay. I got it."

Kion, who calmed down ridiculously quickly, soon withdrew his fist and raised his hand to his neck, making cracking sounds as he twisted his neck.

"Ah, finishing the quest feels like a weight off my shoulders. Shall we head back to the road now?"

Unlike his casual tone, a clean fire was burning in his eyes as he looked straight ahead. It was the birth of the second quest completer.

"Vice Guild Master! Vice Guild Master!"

A man carrying an accordion on his back came running breathlessly and was shouting in the empty backyard of a building.

"Vice Guild Master! Please come out, will you? Vice Guild Masteeer!"

"Ah... I was just about to get some sleep, why do you keep calling so annoyingly?"

"Vice Guild Master!"

After a long desperate calling, a disinterested reply came from, surprisingly, above the man's head. As the man looked up with a brightened expression, someone jumped down from inside the tree, which had seemed empty, and landed with amazing speed.

"Yes. What's the reason for calling me?"

The man who stood up scratching his head was wearing an expression that looked blatantly sleepy. Although he didn't look trustworthy at all, the man with the accordion looked at him as if he were a savior and made a tearful face.

"Vice Guild Master, because of the Guild Master's solo action last time, hundreds of people have gathered outside the building today! They're making a fuss about wanting to join, and I don't know what to do about this!"

Although his last words came out almost like a wail, the red-haired man called Vice Guild Master just listened blankly and scratched his ear.

"Uh... But why are you asking me? If the Guild Master did it, shouldn't you go to him?"

"Do you think I didn't try that? I went to look for him, but that oh-so-great Guild Master wasn't there! He's run off somewhere again, geez! How can he incite people in the middle of the city and then run away without cleaning up the mess? Our guild is in chaos again, cleaning up after him!"

The man with the accordion retorted, pounding his chest at those stupid words. But at those words mixed with anger, the red-haired man who had shown no interest until now suddenly had his eyes light up.

"He's not there? Caesar?"

"Yes. And honestly... I'm still more used to calling you Guild Master rather than Vice Guild Master, Gert-nim. I don't even want to keep calling that guy Guild Master!"

"Ho... He looked completely dead when I saw him the day before yesterday, could it be that he couldn't stand it anymore and went to kill them all? Hmm... I'd like to see that too..."

"Ugh... Vice Guild Master Gert!"

As the accordion man, who had been trembling with anger while looking at the other who wouldn't listen no matter what he said, finally shouted, Gert turned around with a look that seemed to say, 'Oh, you were still there?'
