Chapter 176: Hard Flirting

Hearing Doudou's words, Zheng Han asked with a sneer: "Why are you always trying to gather people around you? Fucking killer? What, you want to set up some shadow organization or something? Brother, isn't living well good enough?"

Yao Doudou's cheeks were flushed from drinking as he looked at Zheng Han with tilted neck saying: "Are you living with flavor now? Is it meaningful?"

Hearing this, Zheng Han fell silent.

Under the lights, the three war comrades each held their beer bottles, expressions wooden, falling quiet for a moment.

Yao Doudou, reeking of alcohol, spoke first: "In the Independence War, Huadu Battle, Liu Wei's corps lost over ten thousand men; in the Southern Region Battle, the Chinese Corps had countless unmarked graves. The logistics support team went around with flamethrowers collecting corpses, piling people up and throwing them in big pits, sweeping inside and out with guns - that counted as a fucking farewell."

Su Tianyu and Zheng Han had both experienced this, so hearing Yao Doudou's words, neither responded.

Yao Doudou sighed: "In Zone One's civil war, we fucking lost the most compatriots - what kind of thing is that? Those people buried in those big pits, do they count as defending country and home, or as martyrs?"

Su Tianyu took a drink and replied with closed eyes: "Count as history."

"Goddamn counting as history," Yao Doudou was stunned for a moment before raising his glass and calling: "Well then, let's drink to history!"

With that, the three clinked bottles and drank them dry.

"I've figured it out, living in this era is different," Yao Doudou said with bright eyes. "I want to do something, don't want to mess around shooting here and there just passing time - that wouldn't do justice to my experiences."

"Then what do you want to do?" Su Tianyu asked.

"Hehe, I haven't figured it out yet," Yao Doudou looked at Su Tianyu for a long time but ultimately didn't say what was in his heart, only replying softly: "After helping you finish this matter, I might go to Zone Three, or might go back to the Chinese District for a turn."

Hearing this, Zheng Han sneered and immediately said sarcastically: "Go back to the Chinese District? What kind of person are you? You're a rebel, and fucking Southern Region's First Sniper, absolutely a core member! Someone like you going back, you might get detained by security departments as soon as you get off the plane."

"Haha, that's not necessarily true," Yao Doudou laughed very confidently.

Looking at Yao Doudou's expression, Su Tianyu suddenly made many connections: "Brother, playing is playing, joking is joking, but we can't mess around with political stances, otherwise we won't even know how we died."

"I know what I'm doing," Yao Doudou waved his hand changing the subject. "Come on, we haven't seen each other in a long time, today let's not talk about other things, just drink!"

Hearing this, Su Tianyu took out two bank cards, pushing one to Zheng Han and one to Yao Doudou: "Payment for your trouble, take it."

Zheng Han waved his hand with fake modesty: "Forget it, no need, I still owe you money."

"Fuck, stop pretending, I know you need money, quickly take it," Su Tianyu urged.

Yao Doudou didn't take the bank card at all, only looking up to ask: "How much is this?"

"Your card has three hundred thousand, not much, it's my boss's goodwill," Su Tianyu replied.

"Hehe, fine," Yao Doudou casually picked up the bank card and called to the brothers drinking behind him: "Take it to spend."

"Damn, I thought we were helping for free, didn't expect there'd really be money!"

"Brother Six is generous!"

"...!"

The people behind took the bank card, joking with smiles.

From their clothes and living conditions, these people seemed not very well-off, even quite poor. Especially Zheng Han - he didn't even have a house, just hanging around the Veterans' Bar every day.

But in such conditions, these people paradoxically didn't care much about money - Yao Doudou didn't even look at the bank card with three hundred thousand before tossing it to the brothers behind him.

Perhaps it was due to their experiences. These old soldiers and disabled veterans who had come down from the battlefield had been through life and death many times - whether physically or mentally, they had undergone earth-shattering transformations compared to before enlisting.

Of course, this was also a matter of like attracting like, birds of a feather flocking together. There were also many people who, after discharge, walked through various social strata, started new lives, worked hard to integrate into the new world, striving for themselves and their families.

That night.

Su Tianyu drank with Yao Doudou, Zheng Han and others until around 4 AM, almost completely blacking out before being sent back to his residence.

Only when he was with war comrades would Su Tianyu lose control like this - normally, he almost never let himself lose consciousness.

......

After a night of heavy drinking, before Su Tianyu could even get up the next day, he received Wei Xiangzuo's call - the latter was anxious and urged him to set out quickly.

Su Tianyu forced himself up, took a cold shower, then called Big Bai and Kong Zhenghui.

"Two things. Big Bai continue managing the association members who came together - though this team building was forced by circumstances, since we're here, we still need to do something. You can discuss with the Zhou family side, go around their factories, companies, whatever halls, look around and learn, arrange some content," Su Tianyu instructed.

"Alright!" Big Bai nodded.

Su Tianyu took out a document from under his pillow and gave it to Kong Zhenghui saying: "This is information I had the Zhou family side find out - take a look, then go understand more deeply yourself. Must thoroughly grasp and understand the situation - this is very important for whether we can return to Dragon City."

"No problem," Kong Zhenghui nodded.

"Alright, that's it," Su Tianyu stood up. "I'm leaving with Wei Xiangzuo."

"Be sure to be careful!" Kong Zhenghui advised. "Damn it, now Xu Hu is almost crazy trying to catch Old Wei, don't get caught up with him."

"Mm!" Su Tianyu bid farewell to the two and quickly walked out of the residence.

Outside the Zhou family villa.

Wei Xiangzuo, Little Feng, and Su Tianyu met up. Everyone got in an SUV with new phones and secretly headed toward Dragon City.

Along the way, the three took turns driving, while Wei Xiangzuo and Little Feng used their spare time to continuously contact the dock gang's backbone and core brothers at Tianhong Port.

......

Two days later.

An Qiqi returned to Huadu from her mother's place and as soon as she entered saw Wawa sound asleep on her bed.

"Hey, little white pig, get up!" An Qiqi called out while pinching Wawa's cheeks.

"Let me sleep a bit more, too tired..." Wawa replied lazily, turning to the other side with her bottom sticking up.

An Qiqi casually put away her backpack and such, and was about to go change when she suddenly saw an exquisite watch box on the table.

"Whose is it? Did you buy a watch?"

"How would I have money to buy a watch? I'm almost begging for food," Wawa replied foolishly. "Someone gave it to you."

"Ah?" An Qiqi blinked: "Gave it to me?!"

"Yes."

"...!" An Qiqi curiously picked up the watch box, tore open the packaging, opened the lid, and saw the exquisite sports watch inside, along with a handwritten pink note card.

On the card: "You once said that under the clouds, wherever your gaze could reach was your ideal - you would conquer every inch of mountains and rivers with your feet, not failing your profession or youth. Hope this watch can accompany you through every bit of scenery, remember every moment of youth... Given by Su Tianyu."

An Qiqi looked at the watch box in a daze, and after a long while got goosebumps all over: "Tsk tsk... this is too mushy, feels so juvenile!"

"Are you sure it's not the feeling of love at first sight?" Wawa lay on the bed, sneaking a glance at Qiqi.

"No good, I need to take a shower, my goosebumps are about to fall off," An Qiqi carefully put the card back in the watch box, neatly placed it on the table, and turned to run to the bathroom.

"Damn it, what did he write?! Making me so curious!" Wawa sat up with a bounce and was about to run over to look.

"Don't touch my things!!!" An Qiqi shouted a command.

......

At Tianhong Port.
