Vol 6 Chapter 15

"...So?"

[ Just saying, that was my original intention. ]

"..."

After flying in silence for a long time again, Kapros finally couldn't contain his boiling anger and shouted.

"So you're saying that all the hardships I've been through because I couldn't use those spells properly were because you left behind only the magic books without any proper explanation, is that it?"

[ Ah~ No. I'm just praising you for being amazing. Forcibly inputting such delicate commands into spells created for short commands is like teaching intricate sculpting work one by one to strong three-year-olds that even adults find difficult. I didn't feel the need to exert such effort, so I just left them loose and did my own thing. No one else could use magic as persistently as you. The bridge you created will go down in history for the continent's mages. Hmm, as expected of my successor. ]

"What are you talking about...?"

The moment Kapros heard Superior's words, the image of Superior from the last 7th circle magic video he had seen flashed in his mind. He had wondered how Superior could use Inferno around his body and Blizzard to sweep away distant enemies while casting 7th circle spells without looking tired at all, but in reality, the intention and method were completely different from how Kapros had been using them.

At the same time, he recalled the time when he was first trying to use Inferno, and realized that the more he emptied his mind purely rather than trying hard to imagine, the better Inferno moved.

In the end, it wasn't a matter of emptying his mind or not, but that Superior's 6th circle magic itself had the property of moving on its own without particularly needing to think about moving it.

As the points he had found strange until now were resolved in such a foolish direction, all that remained was a sense of emptiness and anger.

"Hah..."

The time he had spent wondering why Inferno and Blizzard wouldn't move as he wanted now seemed ridiculous.

[ Why are you so depressed? I was sincerely amazed. I never imagined there would be someone who could handle Inferno and Blizzard so freely. You should be proud. ]

What more could Kapros say to him? Still unable to escape the shock of the unexpected truth about the 6th circle, he arrived in the airspace above Torelit.

Realizing that suddenly landing in a crowded place would startle everyone, he searched for a suitable spot and ended up in a dark alley littered with garbage. After his feet touched the ground with a thud, he checked his clothes for any disarray before moving towards the main street.

Soon, as the light grew closer, he saw the worn-out sign of a general store with a coin purse painted on it. Just as he was about to step out onto the main street, he suddenly collided shoulders with someone who had jumped out, forcing him to stop.

"Huh? What's with this bastard!"

"I'm sorry. We bumped into each other."

"Sorry? If you're sorry, there should be compensation!"

With those words, some guys pushed Kapros back into the alley.

'What's this...?'

This voice, this situation. He had a strong sense of déjà vu, as if he had experienced this somewhere before...

'No way...'

Ding!

- Hans and Friends' Extortion Event has been created.

"Hah..."

All he could do was laugh, and all that disappeared was his composure.

The faces of the guys that had been fading in his memory were vividly alive before his eyes. When he first came to Torelit, he had experienced the exact same thing while waiting for Yu-wan, who had disappeared somewhere.

That was when he first met Kran, who had appeared to save him thinking he was in danger... Was this the exact same place?

"This bastard, are you laughing?"

"Did you just laugh after bumping into someone?"

"You should pay for medical expenses, medical expenses!"

"Our Hans is so fragile that even one hit could break his bones. Huh?"

How could these guys recite their lines without missing a single word from what he remembered?

Savoring the nostalgic lines, Kapros quietly gripped the Superior stick tightly. Should he kill these guys right here, or should he stop at just teaching them a lesson?

'Last time, Kran appeared around this point... But that won't happen this time.'

He decided to just rough them up a bit and throw them into the back alley. Just as he was about to infuse magical power into the Superior stick with that in mind-

"Are you here, Kaaaar! ...What the hell are these bastards doing?"

A white afterimage flew in like lightning from somewhere and sent Hans and his friends flying with a side kick. It happened in the blink of an eye.

"Argh!"

The person who had been panting while beating up the guys rolling around and screaming caught their breath, turned around, and spread their arms towards Kapros.

"Kar! Long time no see!"

It was the owner of a voice Kapros couldn't possibly mistake.

"Kion hyung...?"

As Kapros muttered in bewilderment, Kion-hyung pulled down the cloth covering his face and smiled brightly.

"Yes. It's hyung."

"How on earth did you..."

"Ah~ But why are you so hard to find? No matter how much I searched, the location was right but I couldn't see you, so I thought there was something wrong with the map. But what's with these guys?"

Before Kapros could finish his question, Kion-hyung, who had been grumbling, kicked the butts of Hans and his friends who were trembling beside them, making them roll around suppressing their groans.

"How come you're so popular with guys like this? It was the same before."

"Well..."

Hearing Kion-hyung's words, Kapros began to seriously doubt if he really had a constitution that attracted trouble. Meanwhile, Hans and his friends had crawled out of the alley and, as if by agreement, got up and ran away.

"Aaaaah! Help!"

"Tsk! I let you off easy, but you're noisy till the end... If you cross my path again, it's death for you, you bastards!"

- Hans and Friends' Extortion Event has ended. However, as it was not defeated by the event participant but forcibly terminated, there is no reward.

The same heartless announcement from before echoed in Kapros's ears. As Kapros lost his words in disbelief, Kion-hyung, who seemed to believe he had successfully saved him, approached and hugged him tightly, almost suffocating him.
