Chapter 64 Yama Sect

"I am indeed aware of this matter," Rosy nodded, saying, "If you wish to know, I will tell you. Because the orthodox sects are too powerful, the demonic sects must band together to barely hold their own. The six largest of these demonic sects came together to form what is now known as the Demonic Sect."

"The six sects are Rakshasa Sect, Yama Sect, Asura Sect, Wuji Sect, Demonic Beast Sect, and Emperor Extreme Sect. Among them, the Rakshasa Sect is the strongest, while Yama Sect is the most unpredictable."

"The path of cultivation in the Yama Sect can be considered defying the heavens. They traverse between death and the graveyard, absorbing the souls of the deceased, and practicing their spells by controlling these spirits. Worth mentioning is their ability to amalgamate several souls, have them kill and devour each other, to finally form a formidable Ghost King."

"Controlling spirits..." Qin Chao contemplated, he recalled battling Zhou De, who swallowed a blue flame, then, as if injected with adrenaline, his physical strength increased several times. The blue flame eventually transformed into a spirit, akin to a gecko's severed tail, which was discarded at the final moment, narrowly injuring him.

"No wonder, no wonder..." Qin Chao suddenly had a revelation, recalling the incident when a shelf nearly fell on Su Ji during class.

"I understand now!" he shouted, leaping from his bed, "There must have been someone possessed by a ghost during the day in the classroom, using the ghost's power to drag the shelf. Zhou De was carrying out his plot in broad daylight, and I didn't even notice."

"Indeed, the abilities of the Yama Sect are lethal tools; ordinary people can't defend against them."

"But don't they fear divine retribution for killing people using such spells?" Qin Chao couldn't help but ask.

"That's why most disciples of the Yama Sect have declined." Rosy shrugged, "Many chose not to build their foundation and enjoy the life of a mortal instead. This has resulted in a gap in their sect's succession of experts. To my knowledge, the only one who reached the Nascent Soul (Infant Transformation) stage is their Sect Leader."

"Let me think, who could have done this that day..." Qin Chao fell deep into thought again, the day's events reappearing in his mind. In the gymnastics classroom, all the girls were dancing, no time to commit the act. The only idle people in the room were him... Oh yes, and the President, Sun!

"Sun Xiaofeng!" Qin Chao gnashed his teeth, "I didn't think it would be you."

"Look at you, all ablaze with rage," Rosy giggled, "A person possessed by a ghost has no consciousness of their own."

"I see." Qin Chao took a deep breath, calming himself down, "So, Rosy, do you have any method to force the ghost out of Sun Xiaofeng's body?"

"I can't help with that, he has a Ghost King inside him," Rosy spread her hands, but then added, "However, you can make a wish to me. Just a tiny wish and I, being a demon, can help you fulfill it!"

"Never mind, I'll figure it out myself." Qin Chao didn't want to waste his wish on this. He waved his hand, then laid back on the bed. "Rosy, thank you for your help, you can go now."

"Oh, how heartless of you! You use me then send me away."

"How about we sleep together then?"

"Why not?" Rosy laughed cheerfully, her body floated down from mid-air and she laid next to Qin Chao, pressing her ample chest against his arm. "So, what do you think? Shall we proceed further?"

"Go back now! Rosy, you little demon!" Qin Chao's face burned red hot. The soft sensation accelerated his heartbeat, and he pushed Rosy away a second before he felt like he was about to collapse.

"I'm not a demon, I'm a devil that can make your wishes come true," Rosy chuckled, "Well then, sweet dreams."

When Qin Chao turned back, Rosy had already disappeared from his bed. Once again, he was left alone in the night.

—---

"Jiang Dong, who did this to you?" In the Su Mansion, Su Fei was surprised to see Jiang Dong, who looked utterly disheveled with a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth.

Jiang Dong was a professional steward, having undergone rigorous training. Not only was he adept at handling daily affairs, but he also held a business degree and had learned some martial arts and firearms, ensuring the safety of the Su Mansion's masters during times of danger.

Usually a proud figure, Jiang Dong's current state was indeed surprising to Su Fei.

"It's nothing, Miss. I merely encountered a formidable opponent," Jiang Dong was reluctant to discuss his misadventure, and Su Fei didn't press him further.

"How is Qin Chao doing?"

"He's gone home."

"Did he try to contact Su Ji on the way?"

"I'm sorry... Miss, I lost him."

"You lost him?" Su Fei was taken aback once again, her eyes wide as she stared at Jiang Dong.

A flush crept up Jiang Dong's weathered face as he confessed, "I'm sorry, Miss. Qin Chao... he is the one who did this to me."

"What?" Su Fei adjusted the glasses perched on her nose. She knew Qin Chao was capable, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to rescue her sister from a gang of thugs in Chaoyang Park.

But Jiang Dong was not an ordinary man. To her knowledge, he was a disciple of the Bagua Sect, proficient in internal martial arts; ordinary people couldn't get close to him.

"I'm sorry, Miss, it was my mistake. I will make it up to you!" Jiang Dong declared. However, Su Fei waved her hand dismissively.

"It's alright, Jiang Dong. Your job is to keep an eye on him, don't let him get close to Su Ji."

"Protecting the young lady is the duty of a good steward. Even if it costs me my life, I won't let Qin Chao get close to the second Miss," Jiang Dong said firmly.

"Alright, you should go treat your wounds now. Don't let them get infected."

"Yes, Miss."

After Jiang Dong left, Su Fei sat blankly on the sofa, reminiscing about the words Qin Chao had said to her during the day.

"I'm very disappointed in you as well..."

He was disappointed? What was there for him to be disappointed about? Who did this guy think he was, just a little security guard!

The more Su Fei thought about it, the angrier she became. However, her mind quickly conjured up another image.

On the seventh floor of a building, Qin Chao had jumped down without hesitation to save a girl. The figure he made at that moment truly astonished her.

"I'm Qin Chao, a lone man, and I fear nothing. Since none of you want to help Yu Qian, I will!" His words from that day in the office seemed to still echo in her ears. What was most terrifying was that soon after, Fang Hua died...

This was also another reason she didn't want Qin Chao to interact with her sister.

Just what kind of person was this man...? Su Fei grabbed the pillow on the sofa, holding it close, speechless for a long time.

—---

"Brother Qin, are you going to watch the dance rehearsal again today?" Zhang Li took out a lighter to light up the cigarette in Qin Chao's mouth. Qin Chao had come early today, and since Zhang Li had been on duty last night, he had let him in.

"Yep, I have to," Qin Chao thought to himself. ‘Until that ghost king is dealt with, I must stick with Su Ji.’

"Hehe, Brother Qin, are there any pretty girls?"

"They're all pretty girls."

"Ah! I want to see too! Brother Qin, take me with you."

"Forget it, I'm afraid you'll die from losing too much blood from your nose," Qin Chao gave him a punch on the shoulder. "You had night duty last night, and it's your day off today. Go home and sleep. If you want to see pretty girls, download some AVs from the internet."

"Hehe, that's not as good as the live version."

"You naughty boy, go sleep at the security office," Qin Chao gave him a kick and laughed.

"Yes, yes, Brother Qin, see you later!" After a night shift, Zhang Li's eyes were slightly red. He said goodbye to Qin Chao and turned to go home.

If the security guards didn't take a day off after their shift, they'd get a bonus at the end of the month. Zhang Li, being young, could handle the grind.

After Zhang Li had fallen asleep, Qin Chao took a chair out of the security office and placed it at the school's entrance, where he sat and smoked.

Sun Xiaofeng was a third-year student who lived off-campus with his girlfriend. Therefore, Qin Chao arrived early at the school, sitting at the entrance, waiting for this young man to show up.

They had a class first thing in the morning, and the professor was old school; he took attendance. The young man didn't dare skip it, unless he wanted to fail.

Of course, all this information came from his inquiries to Hu Lili.

Soon, students started arriving at the school. Since the last jumping-off-the-building incident, many people had come to recognize this legendary security guard and greeted Qin Chao as they entered.

"Morning, Brother Qin!"

"Brother Qin, you're smoking. I've got a Zhonghua cigarette, want one?"

"Brother Qin, have you eaten? Want to join me for a meal?"

Qin Chao responded with a smile to each of them. Wang Wenkun also arrived at the school. He stood to the side, belly sticking out and stun baton in hand, his face as long as the Changbai Mountain range.

He was seething with resentment, teeth grinding in fury. He had been at the school for three to four years, and all the students knew him, yet not one greeted him.

What virtues and abilities did Qin Chao possess? Whenever Qin Chao was around, he felt his position as the head of security was in jeopardy.

With tears streaming down his face, Wang "Stun Baton" Wenkun was filled with a sense of despair, feeling overshadowed by Qin Chao.

Suddenly, a beautiful figure entered from the school gate. Wang Wenkun quickly put on a smile and approached her to greet her.

"Good morning, Teacher Su!"

"Good morning, Director Wang." The latter seemed a little weary in her response.

Qin Chao was momentarily stunned. As he lifted his head, his gaze locked with the beautiful figure.

Su Ji looked at the man in front of her and found a hint of unhidden affection in his eyes. Her initially displeased mood suddenly felt lighter.

Sure enough, he still cared for her. Otherwise, why would this man who loved to sleep in appear so early at school if not to see her? Hmm, this cheeky man.

Although Qin Chao, somewhat clumsy in these matters, hadn't considered this, his primary reason for arriving at school so early indeed had to do with Su Ji.

Yes, it was for her safety.

"Good morning, Comrade Qin Chao!" She greeted him with a broad smile. Seeing that familiar grin, Qin Chao felt an unexplainable warmth in his heart.

"Good morning, Teacher Su."

"Are you going to watch the dance rehearsal today?"

"Of course, as long as you're there, I'll definitely go."

"Hmm, such a smooth talker." Su Ji turned her head away, unable to hide the radiant joy at the corner of her mouth.

Wang Wenkun stood dumbfounded on the side. Damn it, Qin Chao was openly flirting with Su Ji! So this guy really was involved with Su Ji. If he said anything bad about him to Su Ji, would he even have a future?

It would be better to avoid provoking this man in the future.
