Chapter 68 Assassination in the Underground Parking Lot
"Your wish has been granted!" The sweet voice of Rosy echoed in his ears, indicating that Qin Chao had made his first wish to the devil.
After defeating the Ghost King, Qin Chao gained another ability: telekinesis. He was particularly fond of this ability; even in his early stages of cultivation when he couldn't cast spells, it was still a formidable means of attack and self-defense.
"I hope none of you will speak of today's events," Qin Chao turned around and addressed the frightened young women. "There are many things in this world that you don't understand. Since you don't understand, don't spread rumors. Also, Sun Xiaofeng is a victim too. If you talk, it could have repercussions for his future life."
"We understand..." The girls were all in awe of Qin Chao. Some of the more outgoing ones even harbored thoughts of spending the night with this powerful man.
Cough cough, perhaps the old Qin Chao might have agreed.
"Especially you, Hu Lili. With your big mouth, you mustn't gossip about this!"
"You can go to hell! You're the big mouth!" Hu Lili, recovering from her shock, put her hands on her hips and retorted. "I'll have you know I keep my mouth shut. For instance, I've never told anyone that Wenwen still wets the bed at her age!"
"Lili, are you trying to kill me!" Fang Wen blushed deeply, hugging Hu Lili, wishing she could bite her then and there.
Cold sweat trickled down Qin Chao's forehead. Was this her idea of keeping a secret?
"Who is it that's got their sights on me..." Su Ji pouted, staring at Sun Xiaofeng, who had fainted on the ground.
"No matter who it is, I won't let them get close to you." Qin Chao said, his gaze intense, as he locked eyes with Su Ji.
Su Ji felt her heart flutter as she looked at the man in front of her. Why did his words make her heart race so fast?
In fact, neither Qin Chao nor Su Ji realized they were subconsciously avoiding their feelings for each other.
"Miss, it's too dangerous here. We should go back to Jingyang City," Jiang Dong put away his large knife and advised Su Ji.
"No, I won't leave." Su Ji was taken aback, quickly justifying herself. "The exchange event is near, and I need to lead the students in dance practice. This was just an accident, Jiang Dong. Don't tell my sister about this. As you've seen, she can't handle such things."
"But Miss, it's too dangerous here. As a competent housekeeper, I can't let you stay in a place of danger."
"I'm not afraid as long as Qin Chao is here," Su Ji suddenly laughed, and Qin Chao instantly felt a warmth in his heart. This girl... she always manages to cheer him up...
"Jiang Dong, please help clean up here. Zhang Li, could you take care of this student?" Su Ji pointed at the unconscious Sun Xiaofeng, addressing Zhang Li.
"Rest assured, Miss Su, I'll take him to the medical room right away."
"Qin Chao, you should go too. There's no danger here anymore."
"Alright." Qin Chao glanced at Su Ji, noticing her eyes suddenly filled with unease. He drew a deep breath and turned to leave the classroom.
Qin Chao perceived that Su Ji seemed to hold some feelings for him.
Though he had boasted so confidently to Jiang Dong, when it came to facing these feelings head-on, Qin Chao couldn't help but recoil. The image of his girlfriend lingered in his mind.
Would Su Ji be the next one? Would a lady accustomed to a wealthy lifestyle be willing to share a life of poverty with him?
It seemed that Su Ji was also hesitant about their feelings. Was she also deliberating on these issues?
Qin Chao was overthinking; Su Ji hadn't considered these matters at all. Her actual concern was...
He was a disciple of the demonic path, who would someday become a great demon. She was a disciple of Buddhism. If they were to be together, would they encounter resistance from the cultivation world?
In the cultivation world, the demonic path and the orthodox factions were always at odds. Could she and Qin Chao break through all this?
"Miss Su, are you okay?" Several girls suddenly noticed Su Ji's dance steps were disordered and asked with concern.
"It's nothing, I'm probably just hungry." Su Ji waved her hand, "Come on, let's keep dancing. After we finish this dance, I'll treat you all to dinner!"
"Great! Dinner on Miss Su!"
The girls cheered, seemingly emerging from the shadow of recent events.
Qin Chao had no idea about Su Ji's concerns. He returned to the security office somewhat dazed.
"Qin Chao, today is your shift, but if you're busy, you can go home early. I'll arrange for someone to cover for you," Wang Wenkun approached Qin Chao with a fawning smile.
"No, I'll keep my shift today." Qin Chao waved his hand, slumping into the sofa.
Wang Wenkun, disappointed, felt like he had misdirected his flattery. He turned away, muttering under his breath. What was there to boast about? Qin Chao was just a soft rice-eating pretty boy.
Qin Chao spent the whole day at the security office, even skipping lunch. But he wasn't idle. He spent the time studying his new ability to kill time.
He reached out his hand, and the cup on the distant table immediately twisted and turned its way into his hand.
This was an incredibly handy ability.

"Qin Ling, the exchange students will arrive in a little over ten days. How are the preparations for the welcome party going?"
In the administrative building's office, Su Fei was swamped with work, her desk piled high with paperwork.
"Everything is arranged." Qin Ling stood beside her, sorting the processed documents.
"Good, there will be city leaders accompanying the visit this time. I don't want any hitches." Su Fei signed a document and handed it to Qin Ling, letting out a sigh of relief.
"This is the last document. You can handle the rest. I need to go back and check on Su Ji, that little sister of mine never lets her elder sister rest easy."
"Um, Director Su, it's already dark outside. You should go home early," Qin Ling took the documents and said with a smile.
"That would be great. Sorry for the extra work."
"It's alright, there's overtime pay after all," Qin Ling replied with a grin.
The two women, despite their hierarchy, were like sisters in their daily interactions. Su Fei was indeed tired. She picked up her coat from the rack and put it on.
"Alright, I'll leave now. If you get tired, rest early too. If you want to eat or drink something, call the security team to help buy it. There's no point in not making use of those naive boys."
"I got it, Director Su. Take care on your way."
Leaving the administration building, Su Fei walked towards the school parking lot, weariness weighing on her. The school matters had her head spinning, and her younger sister added to her worries. All because of that boy, Qin Chao, leading her sister astray. She had to find a solution fast, to send Su Ji back to Jingyang City. If she continued to stay in Sunan City, trouble was bound to happen sooner or later.
Su Fei walked with her head down into the school's underground parking lot, lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, with a thud, she bumped into a person.
"Ouch!" Su Fei felt as if she had hit a wall, nearly falling over. The figure immediately reached out, wrapping his strong arm around her waist and pulling her close.
"Ahh!" A strong masculine scent hit her. Su Fei, having never been exposed to such a stimulus, flushed a deep red. She looked up at the face of the man and froze, her anger flaring up instantly.
"Qin Chao, it's you!" Su Fei pushed away the man in the security guard uniform, angrily asking, "What are you doing in the parking lot?"
"I'm on duty today, of course, I have to check here." Qin Chao looked amusingly at the irritated principal, "The parking lot is within my area of responsibility."
Su Fei glared at Qin Chao, then suddenly changed her expression, pushing her glasses up, "Qin Chao, how about this? I remember you graduated from the Chinese literature department, right? We have an advertising company in Jingyang City. What do you think about being transferred there as a deputy manager in the planning department? The salary is high and the job is easier."
"No need, I quite like being a security guard." Qin Chao waved his hand, surprisingly refusing Su Fei, "Besides, the cost of living in Jingyang City is so high, it would be more suffering. I still couldn't afford a house there."
"You..." Su Fei was left feeling frustrated by his indifference, almost wishing she could bite him. She had planned to send Qin Chao to Jingyang City if Su Ji refused to return. As long as she could separate the two, that was all that mattered.
Who would have thought, both of them were as stubborn as mules.
"By the way, Director Su, why haven't you left yet?" Seeing Su Fei's face darken, Qin Chao quickly changed the subject.
"That's none of your business!" Su Fei rolled her eyes, no longer paying attention to Qin Chao. She took out her car keys from her bag, pressed a button and unlocked a white BMW 5 Series parked nearby.
Just as she opened the car door, a figure suddenly darted out from behind a pillar nearby. He wore sunglasses and was cloaked in black, clutching a dagger in his hand that had a blood groove. One hand seized Su Fei, while the other, holding the dagger, was poised to strike her fair neck.
Su Fei was not a disciple of the outer sect of Buddhism, and she had not even learned any self-defense techniques. All she could do was let out a shrill scream and await her impending doom.
Almost instinctively, Qin Chao unleashed his abilities toward the assassin clad in black. He lashed out with his palm, and the assassin felt as if he was being controlled by a mysterious force. He was thrown back and with a thud, hit the column behind him.
The whole event had transpired in the blink of an eye, leaving Su Fei unable to catch her breath.
Qin Chao, however, felt lucky. Fortunately, he had gained an additional ability that day; otherwise, even if Su Fei didn't die, she would certainly have been injured.
The assassin must have been lurking for a long time, waiting for this one lethal opportunity. If not for Qin Chao, Su Fei would have been doomed.
"Come here quickly." Qin Chao quickly pulled a panicked Su Fei behind him. The man in black was clearly a professional killer, unwilling to give up until he had eliminated his target. He swiftly got up, daggers in each hand, and began to approach them step by step.
At this point, another man in black emerged from beneath the BMW car. He seemed to be the companion of the first man. It was clear that these people were intent on ensuring Su Fei's demise.
