Chapter 18
There was one thing he had gained, at least. The fact that the person he was looking for was a woman. Though he couldn't remember anything else, one thing was clear - he had seen an incredibly magnificent chest before passing out. Unfortunately, he couldn't recall the shape or size of the chest either.
The problem was how to find her. Since extreme Omegas could completely hide their pheromones, they often passed as Betas. But if she released her pheromones and revealed her identity, Greyson would go into shock and faint again. Then the same result would just repeat.
Ha, after letting out a deep sigh, he roughly messed up his hair. Though he had tried to stay calm, after losing her twice right in front of him, he couldn't maintain his composure any longer. He had to find her. Quickly. But there was something even more important.
What should he do to never lose her again?
No answer came to mind. As he twisted his face in irritation, something flashed through his mind.
Right, that guy...!
Greyson immediately increased the car's speed. The supercar cut through the darkness, racing down the empty road.

"Darling."
Tap tap tap tap.
As soon as he entered the house, the cat came out to greet him as if it had been waiting. Dane readily picked up the cat and gently stroked its body while kissing its nose. The cat in his arms rubbed its face against his chest as if about to purr, then bumped its small cold nose against him.
"Wait, I'll fill your water right away."
Darling meowed shortly as if understanding his words, swishing its tail. Leaving the cat that had naturally climbed onto his shoulder, Dane began his post-return routine. After changing the cat's litter box sand and water and giving it treats, the satisfied cat began grooming itself awkwardly. Dane lightly patted the cat's bottom before heading to the bathroom. Now it was his time.
"Whew."
After finishing his shower and sitting on the sofa drinking beer, Darling approached as if it had been waiting. The cat he had rescued from a fire scene was blind in one eye and deaf. Nevertheless, it could always find wherever Dane was and lean against him like this.
This time too, as the cat rubbed against his leg while meowing, Dane habitually picked it up and placed it on his knee. While slowly stroking the cat that had settled comfortably, he relaxed into his rest.
Suddenly he recalled the ridiculous happening from a few hours ago.
That bastard is looking for me?
Could he have realized he fainted because of pheromone shock? No one had discovered that until now.
Things had become complicated. If he had known beforehand, he wouldn't have used pheromones today. Ungh, Dane let out a groan.
"Why did that crazy bastard just stand there watching."
Though he cursed, nothing changed. The chances of Miller remembering Dane when he woke up were fifty-fifty. If he found out.
Tch, Dane clicked his tongue shortly and recalled irritably. Then he would just move to another state again. There were plenty of places to go and he was ready to leave anytime. With just two things - one trunk and one cage with Darling - he could go anywhere in his old car.
"Let's go to bed, Darling."
When he stood up carrying the cat that had been on his thigh, the cat immediately rubbed its head against Dane's face as if it had been waiting. He went up the stairs two or three at a time toward the bedroom. As usual, Darling settled next to Dane as he got into bed, and they both quickly fell asleep.

Keith Knight Pitman was in a very bad mood. Anyone would react the same way if they had to unwillingly welcome an uninvited guest who had barged in, breaking the tranquility of the mansion where they had been sound asleep. Releasing strong unpleasant pheromones throughout his body, he looked at the face of the man sitting across from him in the reception room with a deep frown.
"Greyson Miller, do you know what time it is?"
"2 AM."
Greyson answered immediately, shameless as ever. Keith's eyebrow twitched greatly once, but he soon closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead with a sigh.
"So, why have you come at this hour? I was sleeping."
By now, Greyson would normally be grinning inappropriately and spouting nonsense. Something like how nice the weather was, or how he had suddenly thought of Keith.
But today he was different from usual. Above all, his coldly hardened face was proof of that. The fact that Greyson, who always wore an artificial smile, was showing his bare face like this was not a good sign.
"I have something I'm curious about."
"Speak. Then get out quickly."
The latter words came out like they were being spat. There seemed to be a brief sound of teeth grinding, but Greyson paid no attention and asked.
"Do you know how to find an extreme Omega?"
"What?"
Keith's frown deepened. To his gaze that seemed to ask what nonsense this was, appearing in the middle of the night, Greyson showed his impatience as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"I have no one else to ask. So tell me, you know, right?"
The common point between Keith and Greyson was that the people who gave birth to them had the same trait. That is, they were extreme Omegas, just like the one Greyson was looking for. However, only Angel, the extreme Omega who gave birth to Keith, could answer the question Greyson now held. Unlike Koi, Angel frequently disappeared, and Keith's father and his extreme Alphas would always find him and drag him back.
Until now, such behavior had been merely interesting entertainment for Greyson. After all, it was just someone else's story. But this time was different. Now that he was in that position himself, his anxiety was indescribable.
Looking at such a Greyson, Keith still answered with a frowning face.
"There isn't any."
The color drained from Greyson's face. Keith, who had mercilessly crushed his only hope, asked mockingly. Though he never had a good personality, his mood was worst now, so his words came out even more unfiltered.
"If you have a brain, think about it? If such a thing existed, why would my fathers go through all that trouble?"
It was such a correct statement that there was no room for argument. When he learned that his only possible solution had been futile, Greyson felt lost for the first time. Seeing him close his eyes and tilt his head back, letting out a boiling sigh, Keith paused before adding.
"As you know, extreme Omegas develop spots above their pelvis when they get excited during sex."
At his slow tone, Greyson looked at him. Why hadn't he thought of looking for that?
No, even if he had looked, he wouldn't have remembered. All that remained in his mind was just how incredibly enchanting her chest had been. Greyson barely swallowed back the boiling sigh that was naturally rising in his throat.
"Is there no way to trigger a heat cycle in an extreme Omega?"
After all, Keith was his only source of information. At Greyson's question, Keith snickered and asked back.
"It takes at least five extreme Alphas. Think that's possible?"
Though Greyson frowned and closed his mouth, Keith remained indifferent.
"Now you understand why Angel has five extreme Alphas."
"Haa..."
This time he couldn't hold back the sigh. Greyson, who rubbed between his brows as if getting a headache, muttered as if to himself.
"No choice then. I'll have to find out through sex."
"Not a bad method."
Keith agreed as well. Wasn't sleeping with anyone exactly what Greyson had been doing all along? He could release pheromones and find his target, so it might be killing two birds with one stone.
"You've been a great help, thanks."
When Greyson readily stood up and gave his regards, Keith grumbled with a frown.
"Don't ever come here as you please again, you're a huge nuisance."
Though he said this, Keith knew well. That if Greyson had something to discuss again, he would barge in like this anytime. Sure enough, instead of agreeing, Greyson just narrowed his eyes and looked at him with a strange smile.
Watching Greyson's car leave the mansion from the window, Keith thought about moving to the East Coast.
