Chapter 73

Why on earth do I have to suffer like this?

Anger was gradually rising. Anyway, if this bastard had lived properly in the first place, wouldn't he have avoided being kidnapped by his brother? Why is all of this turning back on me, why!

"Are we done now? There's nothing more for me to do, right?"

When he asked irritably, returning to his usual attitude, Greyson frowned.

"I'm the one who was violated, but you're getting angry now? Is that the right attitude?"

"So what do you want me to do?"

This wasn't a situation, or a person, that could be handled with money. If he wanted Dane to go to prison, that was unavoidable too. Raping an extreme Alpha, he would be the subject of tremendous interest for a while, but it would soon fade. Though he was concerned about Darling, he could trust and leave her with Yeonwoo. How many years would he have to serve? The opponent was Miller Law Firm. At the sudden thought, Dane hesitated.

Surely not for life...

As his spine chilled and cold sweat seeped out, Greyson abruptly spoke.

"Let's date."

Despite hearing what Greyson said, Dane didn't immediately understand. Only after letting a few more seconds pass did he finally frown and ask.

"What?"

At the brief question, Greyson said in a voice that seemed tired, but not much different from usual.

"Let's do it, date."

Dane stared at him, speechless. For a while, they looked at each other without saying anything.

"Date, you and me?"

Dane repeated each word as if cutting them off. His face, which pointed at Greyson with his second finger and then turned toward himself, was a mix of confusion and bewilderment. Greyson, with a face not much different from before, nodded and said, "Yes." To Dane, who was trying to deny and ignore reality, Greyson repeated the same word again.

"I said let's date, with me."

Dane silently looked at Greyson. What kind of dog shit talk is this? What the hell is in this bastard's head... Just as he was thinking that, Greyson's penis suddenly caught his eye. At that moment, Dane gave up on understanding Greyson Miller.

"Just..."

Dane, who was about to say "let's sleep once more and end it," hesitated. He remembered that Greyson Miller had said he doesn't sleep with someone he's already slept with. Instead, Dane suggested another method.

"Here, touch it. And then let's end this."

It was annoying, but there was no other way. If this could substitute for bankruptcy or life imprisonment, it might be getting off cheap...

Thinking that, he thrust out his chest, and Greyson's gaze, which had been fixed on his face, came down. Seeing his expression and eyes immediately soften, Dane thought this would be the end. With a dazed face, as if entranced, Greyson raised his hand. And just as it was about to touch Dane's chest.

"No, no, that's not it."

Suddenly, Greyson snapped back to his senses. Like a dog that had fallen into water and shook its head vigorously upon reaching land, he hurriedly withdrew his hand and forcibly returned his eyes to Dane's face.

"I said let's date, not your chest! Touching your chest is after the date, no, during, no, anyway, I'm saying let's date!"

"Just touch my chest and let's end it. Here."

He tempted him once more, but Greyson put both hands behind his back, gripping them tightly, and stubbornly shook his head. This bastard, unexpectedly not falling for it. Dane suppressed the urge to release his pheromones and teach him a lesson out of irritation. Anyway, this situation needed to be resolved quickly. Dane was the one in a hurry now. He was worried about how Darling was doing and needed to prepare for any possible situations.

Haa, letting out another irritated sigh, Dane finally asked in a deflated voice.

"So, what do you want to do with me?"

When he asked with one hand on his waist, Greyson frowned.

"I said date."

At the same answer as before, Dane also threw the same question.

"So what are you going to do?"

As the conversation kept going in circles, Greyson, who had been silent for a moment, opened his mouth.

"Haven't you dated before?"

Quick-witted, aren't you? Dane was taken aback but responded nonchalantly.

"Not with you."

Having skillfully deflected, he looked at Greyson with his usual indifferent expression. At the natural response that seemed to say "why wouldn't I have done what you've done," Greyson seemed puzzled but easily let it go.

"Have meals together... I'd like to spend time together."

This guy doesn't have any special thoughts either.

Thinking that, Dane readily nodded.

"Alright, but don't we have something to do before that?"

When he pointed upward with his finger, Greyson turned around and went outside as if he had already expected it. A moment later, the entire house moved with a slight vibration. And they finally came up to the ground.

* * *

That bastard definitely hasn't dated before.

Greyson was suspicious. And for good reason—after escaping by calling a helicopter from the mansion, they had immediately started the date, but far from doing anything together, Dane was just taking care of his own business.

The first place they went was an animal hospital. In front of a bewildered Greyson who had no idea why they had come here, Dane suddenly looked for a cat, and after hearing that it needed to stay hospitalized for a few more days for tests, he came outside.

After that, thinking now they would start in earnest, this time Dane unexpectedly bought a mobile phone and called somewhere. Then he met a man who looked unsavory at a glance, exchanged a few words, and called Greyson.

"Hey!"

At the sound of being called for the first time after wandering around on his own, Greyson, who had been keeping his distance, slowly approached Dane. With a somewhat suspicious mind, he showed clear signs of wariness as he approached, and Dane carelessly waved one hand.

"Give me money."

"What?"

"Quickly."

If someone who didn't know their relationship saw this, they would surely think Greyson was being extorted. The reality wasn't much different.

Without knowing what was going on, Greyson searched his pocket, took out a hundred dollars, and held it out. He now knew that asking Dane for an explanation would only result in getting cursed at and wasting time. It was better to give him what he wanted to end this situation quickly. He could hear what this was about later.

"Thanks, it's my first time buying this medicine. Looks like someone made a big mistake."

The man who received the money handed Dane a packaged pill with a grin. Leaving Greyson, who was frowning, behind, Dane high-fived the man lightly and went back the way they had come. And he shook the medicine into his palm and began walking, chewing it.

"What's that medicine?"

Greyson, who had quickly caught up, immediately asked what he was curious about. Dane, still looking only ahead as he walked, answered nonchalantly.

"Morning-after pill."

Greyson, who had been walking with large strides, stopped abruptly in his tracks. Dane continued walking and speaking, not caring about his reaction.

"I have to take it in case I got pregnant, of course. This is a medicine that works if taken within a month. So there's nothing to worry about now."

Greyson stood there dumbfounded for a moment before coming to his senses and hurriedly chasing after Dane.

"Wait, why didn't you buy it at a pharmacy..."

As he asked, walking half a step behind, Dane frowned and glanced back at him.

"Idiot, I'm buying it here because they don't sell it at pharmacies. Do you think the government would approve such a medicine?"

Greyson's face immediately turned pale.

"What? So you just carelessly took a medicine that hasn't been properly verified?"

As if he had heard the hidden implication that he wasn't an extreme Alpha, or perhaps as if he had heard it but didn't care at all, Dane muttered indifferently.

"If you need it, you have to take it, what else can you do?"

Greyson couldn't say anything and just stared at the back of Dane's head. As if noticing such a gaze, Dane added in a lighter tone than before.

"Don't take it too seriously, it's still a medicine made by a pharmaceutical company. It just hasn't received approval."

"Or didn't seek it?"

At Greyson's question, Dane snickered and glanced back at him.

"You're quick-witted indeed."
