Chapter 70 Su Fei Needs a Place to Stay

Qin Chao had only ever seen such a device on TV. It was about the size of a small television, displaying a brightly illuminated map of Sunan City's transportation network, with a tiny red dot that blinked on and off.

"This red dot is their Fukang car. You should go after it," Rosy said. Suddenly, she leaned in and left a sweet kiss on Qin Chao's lips.

Her kiss was as dominant as ever, leaving Qin Chao feeling slightly breathless.

"That's to make up for the kiss from our transaction," Rosy winked, "Also, I left a mark on one-tenth of your soul."

"No wonder the kiss felt strange..." Qin Chao touched his lips, which seemed to retain some of Rosy's warmth.

"Hurry up and chase them. If they get out of the car, you won't be able to find them," Rosy said. Then, her body turned into a black smoke and dissipated on the rooftop.

Qin Chao attached the GPS device to his bicycle, increasingly realizing how extraordinary his bike was.

"Let's go, my magical 28!" He said, before riding the bike, whizzing off to another building, then disappearing into the darkness.

—---

"Alright, the plan has been rearranged from above. We're not involved anymore."

Meanwhile, in a black Fukang car driving through Sunan City, two men were conversing.

"Damn, I can't accept this," the driver gritted his teeth, "We were so close to taking out that woman."

"Don't worry about it," the other man said indifferently, "They had a strong bodyguard. Our failure this time isn't a big deal."

"However strong, he still fears guns!" the driver sneered, "If I ever see him again, I'll shoot him dead."

As he finished speaking, a thud came from the car's roof, as if something heavy had landed on it.

"What happened!" Both men jumped in surprise. At that moment, the rear window was shattered, and with a crashing sound, a figure hopped in.

The two men turned their heads and broke out in a cold sweat. The security guard they had spotted in the parking lot was now leisurely pulling out a cigarette and lighting it in the back seat of their car.

"Snap!" The light from the flame briefly illuminated his slightly shadowed face.

"Gentlemen, long time no see."

The two assassins were shocked and hurriedly drew their guns, pointing them at Qin Chao.

"Snap!" With a wave of Qin Chao's hand, the two guns were knocked out of their hands and hit the windshield.

The two assassins were dumbstruck, not understanding what had just happened, how their guns had disappeared from their hands.

"Don't point that thing at me. It makes me unhappy," Qin Chao said, reaching out his hand toward the assassin in the passenger seat and making a choking motion in the air. Immediately, the assassin felt an unseen force gripping his neck. His face turned pale, then green, as he struggled to breathe.

He frantically flailed his arms, but it was no use. Qin Chao exhaled a ring of smoke, then with a harsh twist, a clear snap resounded. The assassin's neck broke immediately, his head twisted to the side in a grotesque angle, his bulging eyes filled with terror.

Qin Chao knew it wouldn't be easy to make an assassin like this talk. So, he simply killed one off the bat to intimidate the other.

"Alright, now tell me, who sent you to kill?" he asked.

But the driver, looking miserable, responded, "You killed the only person who could contact them. I was just his partner, only responsible for the killing."

Qin Chao felt frustrated, the person he had killed was the contact.

"Just keep driving, you only need to answer a few of my questions," Qin Chao casually flicked his finished cigarette out of the car window and coldly asked, "Who are you, and what organization do you belong to?"

"The only thing I can tell you is that I belong to the international assassins' organization, Skull. You've messed with Skull, the organization will certainly not let you go, hehehe..."

After the assassin finished speaking, he unexpectedly slammed the accelerator to the floor, ruthlessly aiming the car at a nearby building.

"Damn it!" Qin Chao had underestimated the extent to which these assassins were willing to throw their lives away. He watched in disbelief as the Fukang car crashed into a multi-story building.

"Bang!" Without a doubt, the front of the Fukang was completely shattered, the whole car deformed.

It was late at night, there were no pedestrians, and nobody noticed this terrifying scene.

"Bang!" Another loud noise, as the distorted rear door of the Fukang was kicked off from the inside. Following that, a disheveled Qin Chao, transformed by his powers, clambered out from the wreckage.

"What the hell, these crazy people." He dismissed his transformation, brushing off the dust from his clothes, "Skull, huh? I'd like to see what kind of organization this is."

Having killed one assassin and forced another to commit suicide, Qin Chao acted as if nothing had happened. He summoned his bicycle from his Sumeru ring and left.

—---

Su Fei had been sitting on the living room sofa all this time, all the lights in the room were on to mask her inner fear.

Just as she couldn't resist the urge to call Qin Chao, there came the sound of the door being unlocked.

Like a startled chick, Su Fei instantly jumped up from the sofa, grabbing a large teacup from the nearby table and holding it in her hand.

Could it be that the assassins had already found her? These international assassins were very skilled; they might have traced her here.

The moment the door was opened, Su Fei immediately threw the teacup in her hand. The teacup, made of tempered glass, could potentially split open a person's head if it hit.

However, the man in the black leather coat at the door merely extended his hand and caught the teacup.

"I say, Director Su, is this how you welcome me?" Qin Chao gave Su Fei a big grin. The latter suddenly felt a great weight lift off her shoulders and she sank back down onto the sofa.

Qin Chao closed the door and set the teacup on the table, looking around at the brightly lit room and couldn't help but chuckle ruefully.

"That's going to be quite the electricity bill."

Su Fei couldn't help but roll her eyes, "If you're worried about the electricity bill, I'll cover it."

"No need, it's just for one day. If it were like this every day, my wallet would suffer," Qin Chao removed his coat, asking, "You haven't had dinner yet, have you? Let me make you something."

"You can cook?" Su Fei's expression was strangely incredulous.

"What a question, of course I can cook. What do you think I eat every day?"

Saying that, Qin Chao washed his hands and began to cook in the kitchen with a clattering noise.

"Did you, did you find those two assassins?"

"I did."

"Then, where are they?"

"They're dead," Qin Chao responded briefly. He was cutting potatoes at the time, the knife clanging onto the cutting board, which made Su Fei a bit jittery.

"How, how did they die?"

"I asked them a couple of questions, and then they committed suicide," Qin Chao said it as if he was talking about some minor matter over dinner, his face completely emotionless, "Even though they're dead, I still managed to find out a bit of information."

"What is it?"

"These two belong to the Skull, seems to be an international assassination organization."

"Skull!" Su Fei shivered, her voice filled with fear, "It's that organization!"

"You know it?"

"Yes, of course I do." Su Fei's expression became very serious in an instant, she said, "This organization has a notorious reputation, many powerful people have heard of it, and even had contact with them. They have a tight organization, and their assassins are all professionally trained, their success rate in assassination is ninety percent. It's said that they were responsible for the assassination of Lincoln."

"Pretty impressive," Qin Chao sneered. No matter how impressive, they had still been killed by him. In the face of absolute power, whatever Skull or zombie, they all had to step aside.

"Why don't you go home and hide for a while," Qin Chao suggested casually, "Your house probably has many bodyguards and such, it should be safe."

"No, the exchange meeting is about to start, as the principal of the school, I have to deal with these things."

"You really are a workaholic to the point of risking your life," Qin Chao shook his head, but he was still impressed with this beauty.

"Or else, I'll hire you as my bodyguard, you just need to ensure my safety 24 hours a day," Su Fei suddenly looked at Qin Chao, her eyes gleaming.

"Forget it, being a bodyguard is too tiring. It's better to be a security guard, the salary is not low, and I have freedom every day. If you want to thank me, just give me a raise!"

Refused by Qin Chao, Su Fei felt inexplicably annoyed.

"Dream on!" She pushed her glasses up, rolling her eyes in a quite charming manner.

"Alright, let's not talk about work anymore. You must be hungry, let's eat," Qin Chao brought the food he had cooked to the table, cordially inviting Su Fei to join him for dinner.

Payday hadn't arrived yet, and the pantry at home was quite limited, so Qin Chao could only make fried potato slices and spinach potato soup.

Unexpectedly, Su Fei seemed to thoroughly enjoy the meal.

"Not bad at all, I didn't expect you to be such a good cook," Su Fei remarked with appreciation. She couldn't imagine that a man so powerful could also make a good meal.

"These are just simple home-cooked dishes. There was a time when I couldn't find a job, I even considered becoming a cook. But they didn't want me because I knew how to cook only a few dishes."

"Why not become the head chef at the school cafeteria?" Su Fei couldn't help but suggest.

"Why do both you and your sister want me to become a cook? It's not the right job for me," Qin Chao quickly shook his head, clearly unwilling to accept Su Fei's suggestion.

"Hmph!" Su Fei snorted. For this powerful woman, it was the first time she had encountered a man who rejected her over and over again. This inevitably stirred up her anger.

Choosing to stay silent, she continued eating her meal.

After a period of hustle and bustle, both were quite hungry. They quickly devoured the food like a whirlwind.

"Thank you for your hospitality." After finishing her meal, Su Fei stood up. "You should rest. I'll clean the dishes and tidy up the kitchen."

With that, she put on rubber gloves she found in the kitchen, and started washing dishes, leaving Qin Chao dumbfounded.

"You can actually do household chores?" Qin Chao was greatly surprised. A lady of such a wealthy family like hers, washing dishes herself?

"What's so surprising about that," Su Fei said dismissively. "When my family was poor in the past, Su Ji and I did all the housework. I remember the first time we tried to cook, Su Ji even burned a hole in the pot."

"No wonder!" Qin Chao suddenly understood. No wonder the last time Su Ji was sleepwalking, she could cook by herself.

"By the way, it's already late, and Jiang Dong should have gone to sleep by now, I don't want to disturb him. It's a bit abrupt, but could I stay at your place for the night?"
