Chapter 298 Lewd Behavior

A throng of people rushed towards the ticket inspection gate like a breached dam, with black tides continuously surging forth. Qin Chao and An Qing were practically pushed by the people behind them, squeezed into the ticket inspection gate.

"My goodness, this is madness!" An Qing exclaimed, already standing in the corridor leading to the train.

This crowd seemed like a horde of lunatics, evoking a terrifying sensation in those who beheld it.

"Let's go, train rides are always like this," Qin Chao patted An Qing's shoulder, "There's not much to be done with China's large population."

It was precisely because Qin Chao loathed crowded trains that he later changed to taking buses back to Jingyang City during subsequent semesters.

The two walked towards their carriage, and the train was exceedingly long. It took them quite some time to find the carriage indicated on their tickets.

After showing their tickets to the train attendant, the two boarded the train.

Upon entering, they found it already packed with people.

Heads of people filled the seats and the floor.

Qin Chao, leading An Qing, somewhat laboriously entered and searched for their seats.

"Qin Chao, it seems someone else is in our seats."

An Qing pointed at their seats, where a rough-looking man in a black cotton jacket was sprawled, occupying two seats.

Since the man was resting temporarily in the absence of the rightful passengers, Qin Chao didn't make a fuss. He approached the man in the black jacket and said, "Sir, pardon me, but these are our seats."

Expecting the man to stand up, they were instead met with a sidelong glance, as the man remained seated as if nailed to the spot.

"Sorry, please make way, these are our seats," Qin Chao furrowed his brows.

"Damn it, my leg is broken, I have to sit," the man retorted, his speech laced with arrogance and belligerence.

"If your leg is broken, then you should have bought a seat ticket," Qin Chao realized he was dealing with an unreasonable scoundrel and tried to suppress his anger.

"No money," the man said insolently, and suddenly, his eyes fell upon An Qing, his gaze filled with lust.

"However, if you really want to sit here, you can. Let that little girl kiss me, and I'll give you the seats."

"The seats were ours to begin with, on what grounds do you have the right to give them up!" An Qing, who had been quite composed, was now also angered by his words.

Her voice suddenly turned icy cold, as if capable of freezing someone into an ice sculpture.

The man in the black jacket shuddered but audaciously continued, "Oh, the little girl is feisty. I like that. What's so good about being with that pretty boy? Come with me, and I'll make you wish for life and death in pleasure!"

Before An Qing could react, Qin Chao was already livid. He was about to use his psychic power to throw the man out and teach him a lesson.

But at that moment, the train attendant happened to walk over.

He passed by and overheard their conversation.

"What's going on here, comrade? Stand up, stand up!" The attendant was a middle-aged man who seemed to have worked on trains for many years.

"My leg is broken, I must sit!" Seeing the train attendant, the man remained defiant.

"Whatever ailment afflicts your leg, why purchase a standing ticket? Stand up at once!" This train conductor, having run trains for years, had seen plenty of such individuals. "Even if your leg is truly damaged, sitting on the floor would suffice! Quickly vacate the seat for someone else!"

On the train, the conductor held some authority. The man grumbled and finally rose to his feet. His two long legs touched the ground, showing no sign of injury. The man in the black coat ignored the disdainful glances of others and glared menacingly at Qin Chao and An Qing sitting in their seats.

"Kid, you'll suffer soon enough," he threatened with a vicious tone.

"Fine, I'll be waiting," Qin Chao responded nonchalantly, feeling rather numb to such threats. As a powerful figure in the spiritual realm, he considered these ordinary people to be as insignificant as ants.

As the train was about to depart, several men clad in green military coats and masks, shielding themselves thoroughly, entered the carriage. Qin Chao glanced at them, sensing a sudden movement in his heart—murderous intent. Although faint, Qin Chao caught this subtle murderous aura. Their military coats clearly concealed something.

At this moment, those men in military coats remained silent, standing and waiting for something. The train began to move slowly, gradually leaving the urban area.

"Come here, buddy," the man in the black coat beckoned to Qin Chao, his provocation obvious. Two men, both looking rather rough, stood behind him, watching Qin Chao.

"It was you who got our brothers caught earlier," the man coldly spoke. "No one dares to mess with us, the Train Gang. If I don't break your legs today, I'll change my surname to yours."

"I won't go," Qin Chao feigned fear, shaking his head and remaining firmly in his seat.

"Damn it, I'll have to invite you personally then!" The man in the black coat became furious, gesturing to the two men behind him. They leaped forward, grabbed Qin Chao's arm, and tried to drag him out.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" An Qing shouted in shock.

"Let go of me, you thugs!" Qin Chao feigned panic, yelling loudly to attract the attention of the men in military coats.

Although they tugged at Qin Chao, it seemed as though his buttocks were glued to the seat, and they couldn't budge him. The two men's faces reddened with the strain, but still, they couldn't lift him.

"Damn it, Boss, this guy is too heavy! We can't lift him!" one of the men finally spoke up.

"Are you useless?" The man in the black coat kicked him, then personally tried to pull Qin Chao. "What do you want, you scoundrel! Let me go!" Qin Chao continued to yell dryly. An Qing, on the other hand, was helpful, grabbing her backpack and striking the black-coated man's head with a smack.

An Qing's bag was filled with cosmetics and the like. Seemingly, the corner of an object inside struck the black-coated man's head, which was rather unlucky for him. With that blow, his head split open, and blood poured out.

"Boss!" The two subordinates cried out in unison.

"Damn it… you damned woman!" The man in the black coat's eyes blazed with fury as he raised his hand, intending to slap An Qing.

However, before Qin Chao could intervene, a tall figure beside them moved even quicker, grabbing the black-coated man's hand.

"What are you doing?" The man seemed to possess considerable strength, causing the black-coated man's arm to ache as it was gripped. Gritting his teeth, the black-coated man inquired.

"Striking a woman is rather ungentlemanly," the man replied nonchalantly.

Qin Chao furrowed his brow; this man was one of the soldiers in military coats. The other military-coated men looked at him with inquisitive eyes, suggesting that he was the brains of their group. The man had no distinguishing features, save for a small scar on his forehead.

"Trying to play the hero, are you?" The black-coated man, his pain fueling his anger, drew a small dagger from his sleeve and lunged at the abdomen of the scarred military-coated man.

The scarred man, however, was faster. With a swift countermove, he lifted his coat and pulled a Type 54 Black Star from his waistband, pointing it at the black-coated man's forehead.

"Clang!" The dagger fell to the floor with a metallic clatter, and the black-coated man was dumbfounded, collapsing to his knees.

"Big brother... this is a misunderstanding..."

Fearful, the black-coated man forgot the pain in his head, and his legs trembled, emanating a foul stench. Surrounding passengers gasped, screamed, and shouted in a cacophony of alarm.

"Bang!" The scarred man raised his gun and fired a shot at the ceiling.

A black hole appeared in the roof, and the crowd fell silent, terror-stricken at the sight of the armed military-coated man.

"Ladies and gentlemen, there is no need to be overly frightened," the scarred man said, lowering his weapon. "I am merely interrupting your journey temporarily to discuss a matter with the government. If the government satisfies our demands, we shall guarantee your safety."

With a subtle signal from the scarred man, two military-coated men moved toward the front of the train car and ventured further in.

Qin Chao realized that their carriage was closest to the train's head. These military-coated men were audacious enough to attempt to control the entire train using this method!

A newly arrived conductor was dumbstruck. It seemed she wanted to turn around and leave, but a military-coated man had already blocked her path.

"What... what do you want?"

The new conductor was a woman with a delicate appearance and a timid demeanor. Confronted with these ruthless criminals, she collapsed to the floor in fear. A soldier in a military coat reached down and pulled her up from the ground.

"Do not be afraid," said the scarred man with a sinister smile. "We merely wish to use your train to negotiate with the government. Bring your conductor here. As for calling the police, that's up to you."

As he spoke, the scarred man lifted his coat, causing everyone to gasp in horror.

Around his waist was a circle of explosives connected by red wires. The other military-coated men also lifted their coats to reveal the same terrifying sight.

Upon seeing this, the female conductor nearly burst into tears.

"Go fetch your conductor, please. I'd like to have a word with him," the scarred man said politely, gesturing with an inviting hand.

The soldiers stepped aside, and the trembling conductor cautiously made her way past them. Once outside the carriage, she broke into a desperate sprint.

Qin Chao watched the scarred man carefully from the shadows. He was decisive, quick-witted, and didn't seem like an ordinary character.

However, no matter how fierce he was, he was nothing more than an ordinary mortal.

Qin Chao had a thousand means to make him die here before he could detonate the explosives. But things were not yet clear, and it wasn't necessary for Qin Chao to act just yet. It was better to continue observing for the time being.
