Vol 1 Chapter 58

"Why are they doing that?"

When Kapros casually asked the person next to him, they glanced at him and answered briefly.

"Apparently, the person standing there agreed to sell an item to someone in the group in front for real money, but there seems to have been some problem in the middle. They've come in a mob and are picking a fight. I think it'll turn into a real brawl soon."

"I see."

Kapros began to observe the development of their fight in earnest. The group, emboldened by their numbers, and the person facing them alone stood proudly, not at all intimidated, with their face hidden by a hood like Kapros.

"It says this is part of a set weapon! With such lousy individual options compared to the set options, what's the use of buying it? If you had explained properly from the start, I wouldn't have bought it!"

One of them shouted, roughly waving a sharp blue dagger.

"You deliberately passed it off carelessly to sell it, didn't you? We're absolutely not paying that money!"

The spectators stirred at their aggressive attitude.

"Complete thieves... They say it's a magic-grade item with sufficiently good options even as part of a set weapon, but they're nitpicking to avoid paying after receiving the item..."

"The seller got really unlucky."

Despite saying such things, no one stepped forward to help the seller.

"No, these guys were doing this before, and they're being rude again..."

Kran, who had followed a bit later, seemed heated up at the scene as expected.

"Wait."

Kapros raised his hand to stop Kran, who was about to rush in. The hooded seller had just calmly opened their mouth.

"If you don't need it, give it back. I'll sell it to someone else."

At those utterly composed words, the group momentarily stopped speaking as if dumbfounded, but soon began to get angry.

"Who said we don't need it! We're saying the price is too high!"

"We've said this much, you should understand!"

As soon as the words ended, the one holding the dagger swung it. The hood was cut and fell off, and screams erupted among the spectators, but the seller showed no sign of fear. They wiped the blood flowing from their cheek, then soon smiled and raised their lowered head. Fierce eyes flashed brightly.

"...Did you make the first move?"

And Kapros was shocked to see that face for a completely different reason.

'This can't be...'

"Park Un-o..."

Although it was a small voice that would soon be buried among the people, somehow Un-o heard it and suddenly turned his head sharply.

"Who are you?"

He asked, looking exactly in Kapros's direction with a face that suited his cold white hair, different from reality.

"Who are you to know my name?"

At his words, the attention of the gathered people also turned towards Kapros. Kapros clicked his tongue and decided to step forward since it had come to this. As he walked forward, Yu-wan and Kran naturally followed behind.

"You're asking who I am?"

Kapros asked quietly enough for only Un-o to hear, and then removed his hood towards Un-o, who still hadn't erased the venom from his gaze.

"It's me."

"...Master?"

The killing intent disappeared from Un-o in an instant. Yu-wan and Kran, who heard Un-o's low question, also looked at Kapros with surprised faces.

"Master? What's this about, Kap?"

Kran, who had instantly abandoned his righteous knight concept, asked urgently, but Kapros raised a hand to stop him.

"...Later."

At that moment, the opposing side, who had been watching the situation after Kapros's sudden appearance, spotted Kran and suddenly shouted with a terrified face.

"What the... You, you know that Kratos bastard?"

They began to point at Kapros's group repeatedly and discuss something with clearly flustered expressions. Wondering what was going on, Kapros turned to look at Kran, who shrugged and smiled.

"I told you. They're guys who've been doing rude things disgustingly for a while. So I taught them a lesson once."

I see. Kapros had momentarily forgotten that Kran was quite a celebrity in this city. If they were guys who had been beaten by Kran before, it was natural for them to be chilled to the bone at the sight of him. As he was thinking this, Un-o spoke with a frowning face.

"...This is my business. Please don't interfere and leave."

Unlike his eyes that avoided Kapros's gaze as if he had been caught doing something he didn't want to be discovered, his words were sharp.

"How can you say that... Ugh. Hey man, Black Swordsman! Let go!"

Kran tried to raise his voice in disbelief, but was quickly restrained by Kapros's gaze and Yu-wan's arm.

Kapros turned to Yu-wan for a moment and briefly sent a grateful look. Yu-wan's eyes flickered with a slight smile. It was comfortable that Yu-wan understood without words. The cold war they had waged against each other out of stubbornness until just recently now felt like a distant memory that was hard to recall.

Kapros turned back to Un-o and raised his hand towards the guys who were picking a fight.

"...I would have just left if possible, but I don't like these guys."

In truth, he wanted to help because it was Un-o, even knowing it would be troublesome, but judging from Un-o's current attitude, such words wouldn't work, so this was an excuse he came up with. And as expected, the guys harassing Un-o easily fell for that excuse.

"Who the hell are you? Stay out of this, you gloomy black bastard!"

"..."

This was the second time Kapros had heard such words, the first being when he was with Kion-hyung.

"...Heh."

And it was also the perfect reason for him to step in now.

Kapros smiled brightly and moved his hand to draw the circle of promise.

"...Since it's come to this, I have no choice, do I?"

At the same time, Un-o's expression became even more serious as he looked at Kapros.

"That dagger, how much were you going to sell it for?"

"...350,000."

Un-o hesitated before answering.

"I'll pay that 350,000 instead, so sell me the right to deal with those guys."

Un-o frowned as he looked at Kapros.

"What?"

"Sell it. My personality isn't very good, so I can't just leave guys like that alone."

In any case, Kapros had never been able to stand by and watch someone he knew being bullied. It had been a long time since he had done something like this for someone else.

Even without a detailed explanation, Yu-wan and Kran seemed to have sensed something and stood beside Kapros. Finding that quite reassuring, Kapros smiled even more broadly.
