Vol 3 Chapter 21

As Kran was about to open his mouth again, sweating, Kapros quietly glared at him from the corner of his eye.

'Just stay quiet.'

"Ah... I see. So that's what you did."

Noticing Kapros's gaze, Kran's body suddenly stiffened, and he trailed off, vaguely agreeing with Ilumine's words. Seemingly satisfied, her expression softened.

"In exchange, I can't leave this place. But I can sense everything approaching this forest even while sitting here."

Since the elf they had met in the village earlier had said something similar, they weren't particularly surprised.

"Do you know why I brought this up first?"

"Is... someone else coming?"

Ilumine slowly nodded.

"The third human is coming."

"..."

"They've already set foot in El Prama, so they'll arrive here very soon. I'm telling you this so you won't be too surprised."

Who could it be? Was it someone related to the quest? If so, there was a high possibility it was one of the people they had met so far. But if it was Caesar, it would be very troublesome...

As Kapros turned his gaze, he saw that Kran also had a complicated expression. It seemed there was nothing they could do in this situation except wait.

How long had they been sitting like that? Suddenly, a strange wind blew, accompanied by a chilling sensation on their backs.

["Third human. Have you come?"]

Ilumine's voice burst out, resonating in their heads while simultaneously being heard by their ears. Along with it, a human figure began to emerge hazily from the black hole that Kran and Kapros had been intently watching.

As the feet, lower body, and upper body stepped out, and the person's form was fully revealed, Kapros could only stare in surprise, forgetting the spell he was about to utter in preparation for any situation.

'This can't be...'

It was the same for that guy, Un-o, who was standing at the entrance, staring back at Kapros with wide eyes. From his white hair to the bow on his back, the daggers strapped to both thighs, and eyes that looked infinitely dark for his age, everything was unchanged.

"That person is the one we met before..."

Kran also seemed to remember meeting Un-o and asked, trailing off. Kapros nodded.

"Yeah. It's that guy from back then."

Un-o quickly hid his surprised expression and approached them with an expressionless face. More precisely, he was heading towards Ilumine. Ilumine nodded as she saw Un-o approaching.

"Your purpose is not me."

"No."

Kapros scrutinized Un-o as he answered in a low voice.

He hadn't expected that the first time he'd see Un-o after visiting him in the hospital would be inside the game, but he looked healthier than expected.

"Very well. I grant permission. May you achieve your purpose in El Prama, and may the forest's blessing be with you."

From Ilumine's words, it seemed Un-o had come with a purpose other than meeting Ilumine. As soon as she finished speaking, Un-o bowed his head lightly.

"Thank you, El Karana, Ilumine."

El Karana, if Kapros remembered correctly, was explained by Siravi Ren before coming here as meaning 'Daughter of God.' A slight smile appeared on Ilumine's lips at Un-o's greeting. Then, before turning his body, Un-o briefly glanced at Kapros once more, greeted him with his eyes, and left.

"Hah..."

Was it fortunate that he didn't pretend not to know them, given that guy's personality? Kran looked like he wanted to leave right away, but they couldn't because of Ilumine, who had suddenly changed her attitude towards them as soon as Un-o left.

"Well then, since we're late, I'll start by telling you what I've been thinking about."

"Ah, yes."

"You, you've never learned 6th circle magic before, right?"

If it's about 6th circle magic, Superior's magic was the first for Kapros, but...

"That's right."

"When learning magic, you should first master at least one normal spell before learning the Lord's magic. The activation conditions for normal magic and his magic are different."

'Activation conditions?'

Before Kapros could ask about this unfamiliar term, Ilumine took out a thin, brown piece of paper and threw it to him. When he caught and examined it, it was an old scroll that felt so brittle he was afraid it might crumble if he applied even a little force. As he sent a puzzled look, not daring to untie the string binding it, Ilumine blinked her blue eyes and spoke.

"It's a 6th circle spell I barely managed to find after searching everywhere. Learn that first."

"This... you mean?"

This old scrap of paper is that precious 6th circle spell?

Seeing Ilumine speak so nonchalantly, Kapros felt both belief and disbelief as he raised his hand to examine it again, when a familiar notification sound rang out.

Ding!

While Kapros was reading the notification window, Ilumine furrowed her brow and spoke.

"If you don't learn it, little one, you'll be the only one at a disadvantage. This is, so to speak, for learning the knack. To learn the Lord's magic that transcends human limits, you first need to know what normal 6th circle magic is like. Only then can you even begin to touch Inferno and Blizzard. I have no intention of giving what I have to someone who can't figure out even this level of magic on their own. Make an effort."

In other words, it was wrong to try to learn Lord Superior's magic as the first circle spell. Anyway, thanks to this, he unexpectedly got to learn a spell for free, so it was something to be grateful for.

"Actually, I don't think I can help you directly beyond this. Your Lord Pieces should be ready to be handed over in their complete form in a week, when the full moon rises, so come back then. Of course, you should have finished everything I taught you by then."

As Kapros looked into Ilumine's eyes, which were staring at him while speaking firmly, he thought they resembled someone familiar's eyes.

Blue eyes...? Blue eyes, huh.

'Ah...'

And when the owner of those similar-colored eyes momentarily flashed through his mind, Kapros frowned with his hand on his eye in a strange feeling that was neither embarrassment nor anger. He couldn't tell when that guy had become so familiar.

On the way back to the village after leaving the cave, Kran opened his mouth with a serious expression.
