Vol 4 Chapter 25

Swoosh!

Immediately, Kapros gave an internal command towards the Aerial Servant's view among his split vision.

'Strike him!'

It was a command possible because he had already grasped the characteristics of Aerial Servant, which could autonomously perform multi-directional attacks for its purpose without specific orders. The Aerial Servant that flew off immediately began to attack Caesar mercilessly, making popping sounds. Due to its nature as wind, Aerial Servant was a magic that couldn't be eliminated unless the caster's mind was shaken first.

"...This is... something I haven't seen before. Interesting."

However, all that was heard was a cold sneer. Caesar was moving with surprising agility. He was nimbly dealing with Kran while not losing in absolute power, dodging or skillfully deflecting Un-o's arrows, and using the relatively weak attacks of Aerial Servant to his advantage by making them hit his armor with excellent magic defense or blocking them with his swirling cloak. It was almost miraculous.

'That bastard...'

Finally, Kapros thought he had to use that. If even 6th circle magic was hard to be effective, then the best card he could play now was Superior's magic!

"Inferno!"

Whoosh!

Kapros saw hellfire rising without hesitation from where he had widened his eyes. Even Caesar's movements seemed to falter slightly at that crimson flame emitting an aura far more dangerous than ordinary fire. For a moment, Kapros focused too much on the flames, causing even the energy he was pouring into Aerial Servant to waver, and his head started to ache as if it would split, but this was something he had experienced countless times in the battles he had gone through so far.

The combination of Aerial Servant and Inferno. This combination of fire and wind was influenced by his experience when he had used Fireball and Dust Wind to face Kalap Titan before. The times of battle he had strived for, to be able to handle two high-level magics of much higher circles simultaneously compared to then, were now shining.

'Devour him!'

There must be no hesitation when moving Inferno. At the command given with all his might, Inferno began to rush towards Caesar slowly, then quickly.

"Kran!"

Kapros called out, meaning for Kran to dodge well on his own since he had seen this many times before. Kran immediately raised his sword, which began to emit an even more brilliant light, and struck at Caesar with all his might.

"Haah!"

Clang, boom!

The swords, pressed under too much force, instantly created a huge explosion, widening the distance between Caesar and Kran. Kapros thought that he and Yu-wan had used a similar method when they met Caesar before, but the power of the techniques each was using now was different from then.

Whoosh!

The hellfire, like a relentless predator not missing its chance, rushed towards Caesar. Kapros saw Caesar immediately jump up to avoid it. But a piece of Inferno's flame that had stubbornly clung to the edge of his cloak spread to the entire cloak and began to blaze up.

"That cloak must have tremendous defense too... As expected, that magic is..."

As Kapros watched Caesar, who looked caught off guard as if he hadn't expected this at all, grabbing and roughly throwing away his cloak, he saw Un-o smirking beside him as if in disbelief. Even if it had considerable magic defense, seeing Superior's magic devouring it as if it were nothing made Kapros feel reassured in a corner of his heart, even though it was difficult magic to handle. Moreover, this wasn't the end.

"In the form of a wave!"

As Kapros shouted, recalling a form similar to Inferno's Fire Wall that he had used once before and been exhausted afterward, the fireball of Inferno gathered at one point immediately shot up.

"Arrow of Crimson Flame!"

As Kapros watched Un-o nock and shoot three arrows at once beside him, he observed Inferno, which had risen as high as it could, collapsing like a rain of fire towards Caesar.

Whoosh! Fwoosh...!

Just as a beach becomes slick when covered by waves, Kapros had already confirmed in previous scenes that the ground covered by Inferno would burn pitch black. As he stood watching, thinking that even if Caesar dodged, he would suffer great damage if it just clung to him somewhat, Kapros let his guard down for a very brief moment. However, his opponent was someone who wouldn't miss even that short opportunity. When Kapros raised his head at Kran's sudden scream, Caesar had already reached close proximity.

"Kap!"

"Damn it...!"

Caesar, with cruelty shining to the edges of his eyes, raised his sword and rushed in.

Boom!

What Kapros instinctively drew out, without even finding time to shout "Shield," was his sword. He pushed mana inward in an instant and blocked Caesar's attacking blow, but all he felt was his own strength being pushed back endlessly, the opponent's overwhelming power, and the sensation of the clashing swords exploding.

Kapros's sword, which collided with Caesar's, shattered into pieces after just one exchange. As he rolled backward, he covered his face, preparing for the incoming injury from the broken sword fragments flying towards him.

"Ugh...!"

Soon, with a thud, Kapros felt his body being pushed back and sword fragments piercing his flesh here and there, blood flowing. However, before he could even feel whether it hurt or not, he had to urgently roll his body again. Caesar, who had rushed in immediately after his attack, had thrust his sword towards the fallen Kapros.

After barely rolling away, Kapros staggered to his feet as he saw Caesar dodging to the side when dozens of arrows that Un-o had urgently shot came flying.

At this point, it seemed that even Un-o was giving it his all, as a rain of arrows, shot so rapidly that his arms were invisible, was seen persistently following Caesar. However, Un-o's weakness was that he could only attack stably while standing in one place. Caesar was steadily approaching Un-o while dodging, looking for a chance to swing his sword.

"Chain... Lightning..."
