Chapter 103: Dog Six's Plan

In the Yu family home, in Yu Mingyuan's study.

"I feel Xu Hu has really gone red-eyed this time," Yu Mingyuan sat on the sofa with his hands in his sleeves and said. "The matter outside the district is resolved, but inside isn't. Little Yu, what's your view on the company's current situation?"

"I have one," Su Tianyu nodded. "Although our three companies have quite a few people, overall our scale is small and cohesion is poor. To give the simplest example, when something happens to the dock gang, Xu Hu just waves his hand and hundreds of people will follow him outside the district to risk their lives, but for us, we can't achieve this."

"The dock gang is a factional organization with underworld connections. We definitely can't compare to them in this aspect," Yu Mingyuan replied.

"Brother Yuan, I don't mean we need to keep lots of lackeys and do that hot-blooded street fighting stuff with them every day," Su Tianyu explained softly. "I mean we're far behind the dock gang in terms of scale and cohesion, we can't even compare to Changqing Company."

Yu Mingyuan listened seriously and made a gesture for him to continue.

"Dragon City's complex political environment has created today's social environment," Su Tianyu explained with very clear thinking. "Normally, if a city has too many and too large social groups and organizations, that's definitely not conducive to social stability and might even affect some policies of those above! But why do Dragon City's higher-ups knowingly allow so many factional organizations and underworld connections on the ground? Actually it comes down to two points: First, development needs of the times; second, using potential instability to exchange for surface stability."

Su Tianyu stood up and spoke clearly and directly: "Dragon City's people have no sense of belonging to Zone One's government. Chinese people only recognize Chinese leaders, and while Chinese leaders at the top openly hold power, in reality they have to watch the faces of Zone One's supervisory departments. They actually have no decisive power over Dragon City's future direction. This leads to rampant corruption in Chinese management departments and frequent unfair phenomena - the more grassroots the level, the less voice they have. So social groups emerged naturally - the grassroots need to protect their interests, hence factional organizations like the dock gang and dirty gang appeared. And Chinese management levels themselves are willing to see this phenomenon occur. Having factions and organizations makes it easier to manage, easier to make money, and from Dragon City's development perspective, this is also beneficial! Because when social groups are large and have a voice, they will automatically respect the rules set by those above to ensure they don't overturn, and they will also find money and investment themselves, using a snowball method to gradually strengthen their organizations."

"Makes sense," Yu Mingyuan came from a military-political family and had no trouble understanding Su Tianyu's meaning.

"To stand firm in Dragon City, we also need to follow this model. Though it might become outdated in the future, right now it's absolutely the trend," Su Tianyu looked at Yu Mingyuan and said word by word. "We also need to create an organizational framework, create groups, band together to win some voice, otherwise we'll be killed by the dock gang sooner or later."

Yu Mingyuan looked at Su Tianyu with his hands in his sleeves: "Specific methods?"

"Using the three companies as a blueprint and existing workers as a foundation, establish an association, gather grassroots compatriots and brothers, first form a force in Zha'nan district. When you have many people, those above have to consider your influence, and this is stronger than any relationship because it's your own - no one can take it away," Su Tianyu said ambitiously. "Grassroots workers' cohesion needs to be solved through benefits, requiring money early on, lots of money. Once there's cohesion, forget the dock gang - even if the Management Council wants to kill us it would be difficult, because any move would count as touching the interests of the grassroots masses! Then we won't need to speak up, naturally people will stand out to protest unfairness."

Hearing this, Kong Zhenghui sneered mockingly: "Fuck, establishing the Heaven and Earth Society!"

Su Tianyu's eyes lit up: "Don't look down on this - think about it, from ancient times to now, which new 'group' that took power wasn't created in the form of the Heaven and Earth Society?!"

Kong Zhenghui thought carefully: "You know what, his theory actually makes some sense."

"Why call it a civil organization? Because it's down-to-earth, with clear rules, easy to understand," Su Tianyu turned to look at Yu Mingyuan. "Bring in money, establish an association, form certain influence, then we can survive. As for business and such, it will come looking for us by then. Including some political demands can also be achieved."

Yu Mingyuan looked helplessly at Su Tianyu: "You really know how to give me difficult problems!"

"I'm the strategist, I say whatever ideas I have. You're the boss - whether to actually do it or not is still up to you," Su Tianyu replied.

Yu Mingyuan rubbed his palms: "I have money to establish companies, but where do I get money to establish an association? How much money would be enough?!"

"I suggest you ask your father," Su Tianyu immediately advised. "Having blood relations, might as well use it."

"My father would also have trouble solving this."

"Is your honorable grandfather still alive?" Su Tianyu asked mischievously.

"Get lost!"

Yu Mingyuan cursed and scratched his head, replying: "This isn't a small matter, there are too many things involved behind it. I need to discuss it with my father."

"Alright, if you decide to do this, I'll give you a written plan then," Su Tianyu replied very professionally. "Including how to merge the three companies, association charter, framework, and slogans and such - I'll arrange everything clearly for you at once."

Hearing this, Kong Zhenghui was confused: "Merge the three companies? What do you mean, who merges with whom?"

"Have you considered taking the surname Su with me?" Dog Six asked.

"Consider your mother's consideration!" Kong Zhenghui pointed at Su Tianyu and cursed at Yu Mingyuan: "Boss, I told you once this kid becomes the strategist, he'd definitely scheme in favor of his Su family."

Beside them, Bai Hongbo, who had been sitting quietly without speaking, looked up and interjected: "Merging together is good too, each of the three doing their own thing is indeed too scattered."

......

While Yu Mingyuan was holding an internal meeting, a retaliatory storm with Gu Tongshan taking the lead to arrange and Xu Hu in charge of planning had officially begun preparation.

In Zha'nan, at Changqing Company headquarters, Lu Feng looked at Li Hongze with his hands in his sleeves and asked: "Really want to get involved in this matter?"

"It's beneficial, why not get involved?" Li Hongze asked in return.

"I just feel the dock gang is too chaotic. If we get dragged in, the risk is very high," Lu Feng replied, supporting his chin.

Diagonally opposite, an elder of Changqing Company looked at Lu Feng and teased: "Hehe, Director Lu, you've really started being vegetarian after reading scriptures for two days? This isn't your style!"

"Stop with the fucking sarcasm!" Lu Feng cursed extremely crudely. "Whether I read scriptures or not doesn't stop me from dating your young wife."
