Chapter 183: A Hall Master Carries a Knife, Worthy of Being Called Big Brother

Two days later.

Yao Doudou and his five companions arrived at Bokan Town in the Xinaluo region. This was rebel territory, with security conditions like primitive society - refugee camps and combat zones everywhere.

After arriving in Bokan, they found a small restaurant with lodging and completely went into hiding.

......

In March, Dragon City entered the spring rain season, and the whole city was again covered in drizzling rain.

At night, after 8 PM.

Near Dragon Bridge in Zha'nan District, Cheng Gang and eight of Xu Hu's brothers were eating in a small restaurant.

Cheng Gang drank his soup and called Xu Hu in good spirits: "Old You's wife didn't dare show her face, but she called the General Association, saying to have Er Li bring the paperwork and Tattooed Dragon's authorization letter to sign the transfer agreement at the General Association, and also requested council of elders members to come witness."

Xu Hu replied with a laugh: "Fine, if they're not at ease, I'll find people to witness."

"Alright, Brother Hu, you make the calls now - we'll go after we finish eating," Cheng Gang replied.

"Good, thanks for your trouble."

"Don't mention it, it's what I should do," Cheng Gang hung up the phone, feeling very content because the fewer cards Wei Xiangzuo held, the more secure he felt.

Outside, a light rain was falling, the streets very quiet with almost no pedestrians, only a few food stalls and seafood barbecue stands still operating in front of the entertainment venues.

Wei Xiangzuo walked from the south side, stepping steadily into the small restaurant.

In the main hall, several tables of customers sat sparsely, with two drunk men still shouting and boasting loudly.

After entering, Wei Xiangzuo took off his hat, patted the raindrops from his clothes, and turned to scan the surroundings, seeing Cheng Gang and the others.

Two days - during these two days, besides one trip to Fugang District, Wei Xiangzuo hadn't left the port or contacted anyone.

People outside all thought Wei Xiangzuo was still hiding in Zone One, but actually he had been following Cheng Gang for two days.

During these two days, Wei Xiangzuo stood in dark corners watching his former brother, gradually discovering how unfamiliar he had become.

By the window on the left side of the hall, Cheng Gang was talking with Xu Hu's eight brothers, not immediately noticing the person who walked in the restaurant door.

Wei Xiangzuo paused slightly before walking over alone and sitting expressionlessly at the table next to Cheng Gang's group.

With such close distance, it was impossible for Cheng Gang's group not to notice Wei Xiangzuo. Xu Hu's brother instinctively glanced to the side and froze in his seat.

Seeing his expression change, everyone else looked up too - over ten pairs of eyes stared at Wei Xiangzuo, pupils blank with shock.

Especially Cheng Gang - the moment he saw Wei Xiangzuo, his face turned deathly pale, his whole body stiff as a board.

Wei Xiangzuo looked at all nine of them and lowered his head to take out his cigarette pack.

Nearby, the restaurant owner came over smiling and asked: "Brother, how many people? What would you like to eat?"

Wei Xiangzuo didn't respond, and when the owner came closer, he also recognized him and his expression became strange.

Cheng Gang slowly stood up, swallowing.

Xu Hu's brothers also reacted - the burly man looked sideways at Wei Xiangzuo: "You fucking dare come back?!"

Wei Xiangzuo leisurely took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth, completely ignoring the burly man, only staring at Cheng Gang.

Beside Cheng Gang, all eight of Xu Hu's lackeys stood up and stepped forward.

"Kill him!!!" Cheng Gang jumped up pointing at Wei Xiangzuo and shouted: "Now that he's back, don't let him leave."

The burly man who stood up first stared at Wei Xiangzuo and without a word reached toward his waist. He was specifically responsible for protecting Cheng Gang, afraid of Wei Xiangzuo's people taking revenge, so he carried a gun.

As the burly man reached for his waist, Wei Xiangzuo suddenly stood up with the cigarette in his mouth, his right hand naturally lifting a stool and instantly smashing it.

"Bang!"

A dull impact - the burly man was hit and staggered, immediately stepping back two paces to create distance from Wei Xiangzuo.

"Swoosh!"

Wei Xiangzuo's right hand drew out the deboning knife bought from the braised meat stall, his steps decisive and agile as he moved forward, instantly closing with the burly man.

"Thud!"

Wei Xiangzuo stabbed the knife into the burly man's right arm, piercing straight through.

The burly man screamed in pain as Wei Xiangzuo gripped the knife handle and pulled back - the other felt like his entire arm bone was about to split and instinctively leaned forward.

From left and right, three men stepped forward drawing knives and charged at Wei Xiangzuo.

"Pat!"

Wei Xiangzuo's left foot hooked a chair leg, his lower leg swinging back to knock the chair down, blocking the lackey on the left.

"Bang!"

The next moment he half-turned in place and directly kicked the chest of the man on the right - though his leg was cut by the other's blade, he also kicked the charging man back.

"Thud thud!"

While fighting three-on-one, Wei Xiangzuo's hands never stopped moving. His right hand gripped the deboning knife reversed, stabbing the burly man's stomach four times in succession, while his left hand knocked away the gun at the other's waist and kicked it away.

The burly man fell to the ground, blood gushing from his abdomen, right hand covering his wound while his left hand supported against the ground as he kept retreating.

Wei Xiangzuo didn't even try to retrieve the gun kicked into the back kitchen corridor, only gripping the deboning knife reversed as he faced the others.

Throughout Dragon City's dock gang, Wei Xiangzuo's bravery was well known. Among the dozen or so halls in the dock gang, not talking about gun skills, he was absolutely the fiercest knife-wielding hall master.

Fighting skill was one aspect, but most important was the presence he projected when standing there - it absolutely made Cheng Gang and others feel chilled.

Xu Hu's people, Changqing's people, including the Xue family's people and Longkou District's people, were all trying their hardest to catch Wei Xiangzuo - at this critical moment, who would dare come back alone? And even show his face in the port?!

This kind of courage - did calculating types like Cheng Gang have it? Did ordinary lackeys have it?!

Wei Xiangzuo stepped forward, heading straight for Cheng Gang.

Xu Hu's brothers exchanged glances - four held knives while the rest grabbed stools, gritting their teeth and shouting: "Get him!"

Seven people rushed forward together as crashing sounds rang out in the room.

While Cheng Gang, who was being protected by everyone, only retreated in panic after regaining mobility - he didn't even have the courage to step forward and fight, because he knew too well what kind of person Wei Xiangzuo was.

The other scattered customers, including the two drunk men, all immediately stood up and turned to run outside.

Wei Xiangzuo alone, with one knife, fought eight opponents without ever stepping back.

Less than two minutes later, Cheng Gang ran toward the door covered in blood while eight men lay in the room, each with at least two knife wounds.

The eight men lay groaning on the ground, covering their wounds, unable to stand.

Wei Xiangzuo was covered in blood - his head was split open, his abdomen had a seven to eight centimeter horizontal cut, and his legs had taken two knife wounds, but his steps remained steady as he pursued toward the door.

It was raining outside and the ground was very slippery. Cheng Gang was extremely nervous - after frantically running to the door, he stepped on water and fell to the ground with a thud.

Wei Xiangzuo stepped forward with the bloody knife, bent down in front of Cheng Gang, pressed his head with his left hand, and finally spoke his first words: "...Come back with me, I won't take things to the extreme. Every year at this time, I'll send money to your family until I die."

"Big... Big Brother... listen to me!" Cheng Gang shouted while struggling, having lost his reason from fear.

"Thud!"

Wei Xiangzuo pressed the other's head and stabbed his knife into the center of Cheng Gang's neck, directly pinning him to the wooden board at the door.

Cheng Gang's whole body convulsed, blood gushing from his nose and mouth.

Wei Xiangzuo slowly stood up and looked at Xu Hu's brothers lying in the hall, saying concisely: "Go back and tell Xu Hu I've returned, but I won't use underhanded tricks. Settle underworld matters in underworld ways - let's do this openly, either he lies down or I lie down!"

With that, Wei Xiangzuo turned and left.

Outside the restaurant, light rain fell on the misty street.

Wei Xiangzuo didn't run, only walked along the street back the way he came.

Soon, Wei Xiangzuo arrived at the entertainment venue entrance and ducked under an umbrella-covered stall, blood dripping.

The owner was scared stiff, looking at Wei Xiangzuo helplessly.

"Got any alcohol?" Wei Xiangzuo asked.

"Yes... yes...!" the owner pointed to the bulk baijiu under the cart.

Wei Xiangzuo took out his cigarette pack again, drew one out and lit it in his mouth, then took the stainless steel spatula the owner used for grilling squid and stuck it under the flaming iron plate.

While the stainless steel spatula was being heated by the gas stove flame, Wei Xiangzuo poured a large cup of high-proof bulk baijiu from under the cart, lifted his clothes with his left hand, and with his right hand poured the alcohol in a stream over his abdominal wound to clean it.

The owner stood to the side motionless, while several vendors from nearby stalls also stepped far back.

Wei Xiangzuo cleaned the wound twice and took a deep drag on his cigarette, his forehead sweating.

Under the squid grilling plate, the stainless steel spatula had been heated red-hot. Wei Xiangzuo pulled it out and splashed it with alcohol.

"Sizzle!"

The red-hot stainless steel spatula gave off dense steam.

Wei Xiangzuo expressionlessly held up his clothes with his left hand and directly pressed the red-hot spatula head horizontally against the wound on his abdomen.

A sizzling sound of burning flesh rang out under the umbrella.

The skin on Wei Xiangzuo's abdomen was scorched and stuck together, but the bleeding stopped and the wound closed.

The owner watched him with a pale face and stepped back again.

Wei Xiangzuo put the spatula on the cart, took out several hundred in cash from his pocket and threw it in the vendor's money bag, then took two plastic bags and sealed them around his waist to prevent rain from getting into the wound.

"Thanks," Wei Xiangzuo nodded to the owner and turned to leave.

After watching him go, no one called the police - they just quickly packed up and left.

Wei Xiangzuo knew black market doctors and medicine sellers, and had friends willing to help him in both Fugang and Longkou, but after killing Cheng Gang, he contacted none of them and didn't plan to hide using friends' help.

Xu Hu was pressing Wei Xiangzuo's old brothers, beating them to death.

So Wei Xiangzuo came back to kill - therefore before things were settled, Wei Xiangzuo wouldn't implicate any friends.

Why didn't he bring Little Feng and the others? Why did he have to come back alone? Because those brothers who followed him had all sacrificed so much already - Wei Xiangzuo was risking his life and didn't want to bring them along.

Wei Xiangzuo returned alone to tell those brothers in Zha'nan who had always trusted him: I didn't run, I'm back!

One man's return to Dragon City disrupted both sides' original plans.

The struggle for the Zha'nan dock gang was destined to reach its conclusion!
