Chapter 210: Settling Daxiong
Friday, at Huadu airport, a sedan wrapped in macho pink car skin steadily stopped near the smoking area.
The window lowered and An Qiqi, with her hair standing up and wearing sunglasses, shouted: "Brothers, get in!"
Su Tianyu was sweating in the sun as he stubbed out his cigarette and walked over: "Did you drive here at 30 kilometers per hour? We've been waiting for an hour and a half, big sister."
"...Stop talking nonsense, as if I wanted to pick you up, quickly get in," An Qiqi looked around sneakily. "Seems temporary parking isn't allowed here."
The three stepped into the car. Bai Hongbo wiped sweat from his forehead and looked at the young and beautiful Wawa, imitating Su Tianyu's accent to tease: "Oh my, stockings with writing? Come, let me feel if they're scratchy."
"Want to feel? Give me a watch and I might reluctantly let you touch once," Wawa replied with a smile.
"...What? Give you a big dick?!"
"Get lost! You're so gross."
These two started fighting as soon as they met, their language extremely crude.
"Where to, little brother?" An Qiqi asked Su Tianyu.
"First to Karl Street - Zhou Tonghui is there, and I also need to see Daxiong," Su Tianyu replied.
"Alright!" An Qiqi replied in obviously good spirits as she drove off in her little car.
......
An hour and a half later.
Everyone arrived at the Zhou family's North Hall on Karl Street - oh, its official name was Zhongxiao Group, North Ocean Trading Company Limited.
This Karl Street was adjacent to the Chinese Street - though not in Huadu's top commercial district, it was quite prosperous. Many buildings were mainly Chinese style, and there were quite a few Chinese faces on the street.
Coming out to receive them were Zhou Tonghui, Cui Bin, Daxiong, and over twenty core members of the trading company - quite a grand reception.
Everyone had met before, so they skipped the mutual introductions stage, only exchanged greetings before going inside together.
The Zhou family's North Hall officially ran quite complex businesses - medicinal materials, steel, glass and other series of tight supplies - they were involved in all of them, basically doing whatever made money. However, though these businesses looked very busy, they weren't the company's main profit projects.
External gold brick business and the "military industry" were the Zhou family's money-making projects. But they had principles in doing this business - first, not dealing near home; second, not selling to the Asian Alliance, only operating in frequently war-torn regions like Xinaluo.
Cui Bin was one of the North Hall's leaders - simply put, he was responsible for handling gun work, definitely qualifying as a fierce person.
Everyone followed Cui Bin into North Ocean Trading Company's hall and saw the extremely impressive interior decoration.
First, this company's main building was divided into Buildings A and B, each thirty-three stories high, together exactly sixty-six floors. Between the two buildings was a Chinese-style courtyard covering several thousand square meters, with this hall nearly five hundred square meters. The interior decoration and furniture were mainly wooden, with a yellow dragon spanning the domed ceiling across the entire hall, vivid and lifelike.
Every detail of this hall displayed the Zhou family's economic power, and seeing such an enterprise, Bai Hongbo once again determined to make good friends with Zhou Tonghui.
Looking at this hall, Su Tianyu asked Cui Bin softly: "Brother Cui, with such a large scale, how many employees do you need to maintain profitability?"
"Hehe," Cui Bin replied with a laugh. "Many floors in Buildings A and B are rented out, because our main business is handling cash flow - the group doesn't count on it to make money. But with this scale, you definitely need to put up a front on the surface, understand?"
"You mean trying every possible way to launder money?" Su Tianbei asked very directly.
"More or less," Cui Bin nodded. "Come on, let's go inside for some tea."
"Good."
Everyone followed Cui Bin and Zhou Tonghui, took a tour of the courtyard, finished a brief visit, then went to the second floor rest room with sky garden for tea and chat.
Su Tianyu came to North Ocean Trading Company first mainly wanting to resolve Daxiong's issue, so he found a chance to talk privately with Cui Bin, Daxiong, and Zhou Tonghui.
On the sofa, Su Tianyu smiled at Cui Bin and Zhou Tonghui saying: "This brother of mine caused some trouble in Dragon City, probably definitely can't go back for a while... you two big shots, see if you can help arrange for him to settle down here temporarily."
Cui Bin took a drink of tea and said with a light laugh: "This matter, I've already discussed with him."
"Ah? Discussed?!" Su Tianyu turned to look at Daxiong. "Hehe, how did you discuss it?"
"Brother Cui let me stay here to learn... learn MMA, that's fighting," Daxiong replied in his deep voice.
Cui Bin chimed in: "I originally wanted to keep him directly by my side, do some things together, but he wasn't willing, said he'd eventually go back to follow you. So I thought, since he'll leave sooner or later, there's not much point keeping him by my side. Just the other day, he went to the fighting gym with me and the master there took a liking to him, so I thought, why not let him fight matches for our company?"
Su Tianyu was somewhat surprised: "You even have this project?!"
"Yes, our Zhongxiao Hall has its own fighter management company and professional training institutions - I came up through fighting myself," Cui Bin explained softly. "Eating from this bowl, it's actually hard to avoid this industry in Zone One. I think his qualities are good - he can try training, and if he can make it, maybe he'll be rolling in money in a few years."
Su Tianyu had been worrying about Daxiong's future, because he not only had cases against him but also had certain character flaws - not very suitable for management position work, and currently even less suitable to follow Cui Bin's path leading teams to handle matters, so how to arrange for him was quite headache-inducing.
But Dog Six hadn't expected that Daxiong would find his own way out during these few months in Zone One.
The MMA industry was too suitable for him - not only could he develop special talents, but given Daxiong's age and mentality, he also matched very well with this industry.
Focus, tenacity, explosive physical qualities and so on - Daxiong possessed all of these.
Su Tianyu looked at Daxiong happily asking: "Are you willing to do it?"
"I'm willing!" Daxiong immediately nodded. "I need to make money, need to have a skill... this way I can help you in the future."
"Hehe, do well for yourself - it's your own path, don't always think about helping me," Su Tianyu replied helplessly.
Daxiong paused for two seconds before replying very honestly: "I still think of Third Sister!"
"...!" Su Tianbei rolled his eyes. "Why are you always thinking about being my brother-in-law."
"You'll always be... be my Second Brother!" Daxiong immediately added.
"Fuck!"
Su Tianbei broke down.
"Haha!" Everyone laughed.
"Good then, thank you for your trouble, Brother Cui!" Su Tianyu immediately expressed thanks. "Daxiong is almost like my own little brother - please take care of him more in the future."
"Who knows who'll help who. If he can really make it and get ranked, the company will definitely support him," Cui Bin said sitting cross-legged. "Old Mo recently produced several beasts who swept the heavyweight division. Damn it, we got destroyed in several matches, so we've recruited quite a few people recently - he can train together with them."
"Perfect, then it's settled!"
The two shook hands, formally finalizing Daxiong's near-term future.
