Chapter 151: Being a Man Is Hard
Inside the entertainment city, wine flowed and gold glittered.
In the center of the dance floor, Big Bai was dancing a drunken tango with Old Dong.
On the sofa, after cursing away the young man who wanted to feed him fruit, Su Tianyu immediately picked up his phone and asked Kong Zhenghui: "Where are you?!"
"Almost there, almost there."
"Hurry up, we'll get his approval tonight," Su Tianyu urged.
"Damn it, I'm coming back with the printed supplementary materials now, the gas pedal's almost through the floor," Kong Zhenghui replied also anxiously. "Wait a bit more, five minutes max and I'll be there."
"Good, good!" Su Tianyu nodded.
After hanging up, Su Tianyu felt his head buzzing and a clear sensation of nausea in his stomach.
His alcohol tolerance was already quite impressive, but faced with Old Dong and others who did this daily, he still fell somewhat short.
Su Tianyu took the materials and stood up, stepping into the bathroom to wash his face with cold water. Only after forcing himself to be alert did he return to the private room.
Not far away, Big Bai was dancing with his head covered in sweat, somewhat exhausted as he waved to Su Tianyu: "You... you come dance for a while, my cardio isn't good enough, I'm about to fucking die suddenly."
"Useless!" Su Tianyu cursed before stepping to the middle of the room to continue wildly partying with Old Dong, his dance moves extremely unrestrained and wild.
And so, after Big Bai and Su Tianyu held on for less than ten more minutes, Kong Zhenghui finally returned, and Old Dong was also tired from dancing and sat back down on the sofa.
Su Tianyu wiped the sweat from his forehead and gave Big Bai a look.
"Brother Dong... Big Brother Dong!" Big Bai sat directly beside Old Dong, his chubby little hand holding the other's arm: "My brother has gone back to finish the supplementary materials, could you... could you sign for us today!"
"You kid... are too impatient. Are you afraid that after treating me, I won't handle your business?!" Old Dong replied in a drunken haze.
"Oh my, Brother Dong, when we go out on business, the funds are limited and we still have to watch the bosses' faces. If we can't get it signed today, the boss will scold us tomorrow," Big Bai said pitifully. "Please sign it, Brother Dong, from now on you'll be my dear big brother, please, alright?!"
"Brother Dong, Brother Dong, we brothers will drink to you too," Kong Zhenghui bent down to pour wine.
"Oh, you bunch of kids...!" Director Dong lay back on the sofa, pointing at everyone with a smile.
Su Tianyu and Kong Zhenghui again poured full glasses of red wine and drank them completely in tribute to Director Dong.
Beside them, Big Bai acted coquettishly, leaning to Director Dong's ear and calling: "Good brother, sign it! If I wasn't so inconvenienced tonight, little brother would definitely offer himself to you..."
"Hahaha!" Director Dong pointed at Big Bai: "You kid are interesting!"
Big Bai took the opportunity to raise Director Dong's arm with both hands and gave Su Tianyu a look.
Su Tianyu immediately took out a pen and respectfully offered it: "Brother Dong, here!"
"Alright, alright, I'll sign for you," Director Dong took the pen and put his arm around Big Bai's waist, teasing face to face: "When the union is doing well, don't forget your Brother Dong!"
"Absolutely, good brother!" Big Bai looked at the other's old face and, steeling his heart, planted a kiss right on it: "Even in death, I'll share an ancestral grave with you, great brother!"
Director Dong roared with laughter and lowered his head to sign the approval documents, followed immediately by Kong Zhenghui offering the ink pad, and he promptly stamped his seal.
Old Dong was a deputy director-level official at the Public Affairs Bureau directly in charge of social organizations. With his signature, after Su Tianyu went back to get a management number approved, the matter would be completely settled.
After everything was arranged, they plied Old Dong with another bottle of red wine, and only after getting him completely drunk did they arrange for him to go to a guest room upstairs.
People say it's not easy for women to do business, it's bitter work, but it's quite hard for men too - not only do they have to drink, they might have to cross swords too.
......
After Su Tianyu and Kong Zhenghui left the entertainment city, they sat in the car waiting a full twenty minutes before Big Bai came down, walking strangely with his legs spread outward.
"Bang!"
The car door was pulled open as Big Bai got in, grimacing.
Su Tianyu turned back to look at him: "Why did it take so long, did you get done?"
"Damn it, I'm so wronged!" Big Bai replied helplessly. "When have I ever experienced these things?"
Hearing this, Kong Zhenghui immediately pushed open the car door saying: "Did my brother? I'll fucking go up and rip his dick off!"
"Alright, stop acting," Big Bai waved his hand and said: "Let's go, he's playing upstairs."
"I see your posture is a bit off! Did you really let him play?" Su Tianyu asked with a smile.
"This old guy really loves to fool around. When I sent him up, he gave me a rocket up the ass performance," Big Bai sighed and said. "Damn it, today I really opened my eyes - this society really has all kinds of people. Ah, getting things done isn't easy!"
"Big Bai has first merit tonight!" Kong Zhenghui gave a thumbs up and said: "That kiss you gave him made me want to vomit."
"...I was drunk, was confused at the time, almost went for the mouth."
"Hahaha!"
The three brothers roared with laughter.
In a good mood, Su Tianyu dialed Yu Mingyuan's number and said softly to him: "Got it! Our Dragon City Workers Mutual Aid Association is officially established from today."
"When I get back, all gods shall be rewarded!" Yu Mingyuan also laughed happily.
After chatting on the phone for a while, the three brothers headed home.
At this point, after everyone's unremitting efforts, the association was finally established.
......
Late at night.
Li Hongze sat on the sofa in Xu Hu's home with his legs crossed, saying softly: "Let's not talk in circles - back then when we Changqing decided to get involved in this matter, it was because Old Gu was there. We helped, and he could ensure our future interests in Zha'nan."
Xu Hu remained silent.
"Now that he's gone, whether you can protect our interests in Zha'nan is key to whether we can continue cooperating," Li Hongze said softly. "If Wei Xiangzuo opposes and doesn't let you take power... then it will be very difficult."
Xu Hu looked up at him: "I called you here just to tell you that cooperation will continue, and what was promised to you before still holds with me."
Li Hongze nodded: "Then quickly pacify your three mu of land in Zha'nan. Where I should help, I won't shy away."
"Good."
The two talked until 2 AM before Li Hongze left Tianhong Port.
At this time, Xu Hu still had no desire to sleep. He sat on the sofa and after considering for a long time, took out his phone: "Have them come back, I'll wait for them at the old place."
"Understood, Big Brother."
After hanging up, Xu Hu lay on the sofa, looking at the ceiling with furrowed brows.
The series of changes brought by Gu Tongshan's death would eventually brew into a life-and-death struggle. And this struggle would necessarily determine the reordering of multiple forces across all of Zha'nan District and Longkou District.
