Chapter 56 The Dancing Su Ji

The attack was well-practiced, but Sun Xiaofeng simply couldn't withdraw his foot in time. What's more, this side kick, which relied on a portion of his momentum, was easy to send forth, but difficult to retract!

"Wenwen!" Hu Lili's eyes widened in disbelief. She couldn't believe Fang Wen would risk her life in such a manner.

Just as Sun Xiaofeng's foot was about to land on Fang Wen, Qin Chao suddenly appeared like a ghost from behind the door. He stood in front of Fang Wen, one arm wrapped around her waist, and the other stretched out to snatch Sun Xiaofeng's oncoming leg with a firm grip.

"Ah!" Sun Xiaofeng howled like a pig being slaughtered. He felt as though his leg was clamped by iron pliers, almost as if his bones were about to be crushed.

"Attacking a lady is impolite," Qin Chao held Sun Xiaofeng's thigh and smilingly watched the cold sweat streaming down his forehead. He seemed to have no intention of easily letting go of this disrespectful president of the dance club.

Meanwhile, Fang Wen, embraced by Qin Chao and taking in the overpowering masculine scent, blushed intensely. She couldn't utter a word, her heart fluttering like a rabbit in her chest.

"Let go! Let go! My leg is breaking, ah!" Sun Xiaofeng seemed on the verge of tears, clutching his thigh and shouting.

"Ah, President Sun." Qin Chao loosened his grip around Fang Wen's waist. The latter seemed a little disappointed as Hu Lili pulled her aside.

"You were the one who said you'd break my leg, weren't you? Didn't you keep your word?"

"Let... let go of my leg..." Sun Xiaofeng's face was white from the pain, his other leg trembling in sync.

"I can let go, but first, apologize to these two ladies." Qin Chao made a gesture of invitation.

"Apologize?" Sun Xiaofeng's eyes bulged. Since childhood, his parents had doted on him, and he had never apologized to anyone!

"Don't know how to apologize?" Qin Chao chuckled, applying slightly more pressure with his grip.

Sun Xiaofeng let out a few mournful cries. Pride be damned, he hurriedly began apologizing to Hu Lili and Fang Wen.

"I... I was wrong..."

"Show some sincerity." Qin Chao applied a little more pressure.

"I'm sorry! I was wrong!" Sun Xiaofeng reached his threshold of pain and yelled at the top of his lungs. The sound was powerful enough to echo down the entire hallway.

"That's more like it." Qin Chao nodded in satisfaction before finally releasing President Sun's leg.

Sun Xiaofeng, grimacing with pain, sat on the ground and rolled up his pant leg. Sure enough, his lower leg was turning a deep shade of blue and starting to swell slightly.

Silent, Sun Xiaofeng massaged his injured leg, a hint of malice flashing in his eyes.

"You've spoiled my mood for dancing," Qin Chao shrugged, addressing the two girls who were still recovering from the shock.

"What, I'm the lead dancer here, isn't that enough to pique your interest, Security Guard Qin Chao?" A familiar voice came from behind. Startled, Qin Chao turned around to see Su Ji.

This little beauty was wearing a black leather jacket on top, a black miniskirt below, covered by black stockings, and her legs were dressed in over-the-knee black leather boots. This all-black attire, a classic hot-girl getup, highlighted her perfect S-curve.

"What do you think, eye-catching and sexy, right?" Su Ji didn't pay any attention to Sun Xiaofeng sitting on the floor. Instead, she twirled in place, almost making Qin Chao's eyeballs pop out.

"Very much so! So, you're the lead dancer, huh? Then I must watch carefully." Qin Chao thought, ‘I've seen you dance without clothes, but I haven't experienced your performance fully dressed yet.’

Of course, such thoughts could only stay in his mind. Voicing them might earn him a killing blow from Su Ji.

Ignoring Sun Xiaofeng, a group of one man and three women entered the large gymnastics classroom. Qin Chao looked around, the room filled with good-looking girls, with a few slightly plump ones, all of whom were trying hard to lose weight.

Although the classroom was large, it was filled with shelves and some discarded sports equipment. The girls were practicing their dances in the center of the room.

Though Sun Xiaofeng was the president of the dance club, he didn't participate in this routine. Most of the audience for these dances were male leaders from the city, so more girls would attract more eyeballs.

Hence, his presence or absence didn't make much difference. Except for Qin Chao, everyone else was needed.

"Alright, ladies, let's continue." Su Ji clapped her hands and moved to the front of the room to continue teaching the dance routine.

She slowed the pace, instructing these beautiful girls in the graceful yet fiery moves. Hot dances were best suited for girls with good figures, and Su Ji's perfect curves allowed her to perform this dance to the fullest, drawing everyone's attention.

Hu Lili and Fang Wen also joined in. The hot dance was performed by six girls, while the others, though not participating, were learning it too. Qin Chao watched intently, his eyes glued to Su Ji.

Just as he was engrossed in watching the girls' hot dance, Sun Xiaofeng stood off to the side, coldly watching. His once dark pupils were now a shade of gray.

He was fixated on Su Ji, following her movements closely. Soon, Su Ji stood under a shelf loaded with several heavy barbell plates.

As she stood there, a gleam appeared in Sun Xiaofeng's distant eyes. He lifted his palm and made a pulling gesture downwards.

The shelf leaning against the wall, seemingly pulled by an invisible hand, collapsed towards Su Ji with a crash. Several barbell plates came crashing down, aiming straight for her head. If they were to hit, they could potentially kill her on the spot.

Though Su Ji was an external disciple of the Buddha School, this occurrence was too sudden for her. She needed some time to activate her mantra.

The girls screamed, all turning their heads away as though they couldn't bear to witness Su Ji lying in a pool of blood.

"Get over here!" At that moment, Qin Chao, who had been closely observing Su Ji, took action. He summoned the Soul Lock from his ring and, without a second thought, flung it towards the falling barbell plates.

After reaching the Qi-refining stage, Qin Chao's strength had advanced by leaps and bounds, and he used the Soul Lock skillfully.

Like a black dragon, the chain wrapped around Su Ji, then yanked her backward by her waist, carrying a sweet fragrance, pulling her into Qin Chao's arms.

The barbell plates and the shelf crashed heavily onto the floor, making a loud bang and stirring up a cloud of dust.

The girls were left stunned, with Hu Lili mumbling, "How could it have fallen... It was stacked so well..."

"I felt a surge of sinister energy..." Su Ji, resting in Qin Chao's arms, looked into his eyes and said softly.

"You mean... the collapse of the shelf wasn't an accident?"

Qin Chao quickly surveyed his surroundings. There were only students present, none of whom seemed suspicious.

"If it wasn't an accident, we'll need to be more careful from now on." Reluctantly, Qin Chao released Su Ji, then raised his voice to say, "Everyone, it's safe now. I'll clean this up. You all continue practicing."

"Qin Chao, you have a magical chain! Where did you hide it?" Hu Lili came to her senses and ran over to Qin Chao, scrutinizing him suspiciously.

"What chain? You're seeing things." Qin Chao rolled up his sleeves to start cleaning up the fallen plates and shelf, ignoring Hu Lili.

"Tell me, where did you hide it? I clearly saw it! Wenwen saw it too, right?"

"Come on, Lili, stop bothering Brother Qin Chao. Let's go practice our dance." Unexpectedly, Fang Wen shook her head, pulling Hu Lili away.

"Huh? Wenwen, you switched sides so quickly! After all I've done for you, you did see it, didn't you? Why won't you say anything?"

The reason Fang Wen remained silent was because she had begun to understand something since her attempted suicide and today's incident. There were things in the world she didn't know, and people whose abilities far exceeded the ordinary imagination. It seemed like Qin Chao was one of those people.

Off to the side, Sun Xiaofeng's eyes returned to normal, but a hint of malevolence lingered. He lowered his head and walked out of the classroom.

Meanwhile, on the rooftop of a nearby building, a man cloaked in a black coat shook his head, pulled out his cellphone, and dialed a number.

"Apologies, the mission has failed. It seems a cultivator intervened."

"Mission failed?" An angry voice came from the other end of the line. "You took so much money from me, and all you can tell me now is 'mission failed'?"

"The mission was to kill the woman, but you never mentioned she was protected by a cultivator."

"I don't care." The voice on the other end of the line was icy cold, "You know the rules of our organization. Once you've taken on a mission and received payment, you must see it through. Either she dies, or you do."

"I understand." The man in black hung up the phone. Standing on the rooftop, he took a moment to think.

"It seems I will have to wait for a moment when the man isn't around to strike again," he said before turning and leaving the high-rise building.

Meanwhile, in a place much farther away, Las Vegas, USA. A handsome man dressed to the nines and puffing on a Cuban cigar sat in the VIP room of a casino, playing a game of poker with several foreign men and women.

A bunny girl, scantily clad, stood by his side, lightly rubbing her chest against the man's shoulder.

"Mr. Su, your hand is wonderful! You'll definitely make your money back this round," she said in a perfect American accent, whispering into Mr. Su's ear.

"Heh..." Mr. Su suddenly gestured, and two men in black suits came forward, hauling the bunny girl away.

Then, looking at the somewhat flustered gamblers before him, he also spoke in fluent English, "This woman has already helped you win twenty million dollars from me. So, how about it? Shouldn't you cough up the money you don't rightfully deserve?"

Seeing their pale faces, a sinister smile crept onto the corner of Mr. Su's mouth.

Dear sister, don't blame your ruthless brother. Who told that old man to leave his entire company to you?
