Chapter 302 The Upper Ninja
"They have arrived in Weilian City." In a corner of Weilian City, a low voice murmured.
"Excellent, I can hardly wait..." Another voice seemed to long for some danger. "Let the Tengu lead them to our domain."
"Hi!"
"Hmph... We must obtain this cultivation method for our great Japanese Empire..." The two voices gradually faded away, as if they had never been there.
"Qin Chao, the other company has called." In the taxi, An Qing put down her phone and suddenly said to Qin Chao, "They asked us to go to the 'Tianwei' cruise ship at the pier and sign the agreement with them directly."
"Why are they in such a hurry?" Qin Chao pursed his lips, "Alright, let's follow their request. After finishing the business, I'll treat you to seafood."
"Okay." An Qing nodded and then said to the driver, "Sir, please take us to the pier."
Weilian City was a famous northern port city, and its pier was also a great place for sightseeing. The pier was filled with various ships of all sizes, including large cargo ships and small yachts.
For someone like Qin Chao who rarely went out, this was somewhat attractive. Especially the vast expanse of the sea, which made Qin Chao feel an overwhelming surge of emotions.
He felt that compared to the vast ocean, he was still too insignificant.
Cultivators defied the heavens. Humans were inherently fragile. Look at a wild boar; even after being shot, it might just squeal a few times before continuing to rampage. But a human could be brought down with a single gunshot.
Cultivation was the process of breaking through the inherent fragility of humans. Strengthening one's body with vital energy while connecting to the elemental forces of nature allowed humans to possess the power to move mountains and fill seas.
But to truly move mountains and fill seas, one would need at least a Golden Body level of cultivation.
Qin Chao was now only at the early stage of divine power. His path was still long.
Upon getting off the car, a chubby man in a shirt was waiting for them with a sign reading "Pick up Qin Chao and An Qing."
"Are you from the Chaoyang Company?" An Qing stepped forward and asked.
"That's right, you two are..."
"We're from the Tianying Company. My name is An Qing, and his name is Qin Chao."
"Hello, hello!" The chubby man immediately shook An Qing's hand enthusiastically, not letting go for quite some time.
An Qing's pretty face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and anger. Qin Chao quickly came forward and pulled the chubby man's hand away, freeing An Qing.
"Hello, hello!" Qin Chao secretly exerted some force, causing the chubby man's face to turn red with pain and prompting him to cry out.
"Ouch, Mr. Qin Chao, you have quite a strong grip!" The chubby man shook off Qin Chao's hand, rubbing his own while smiling apologetically.
"What should we call you, sir?"
"Just call me Fatty, like everyone else does." The chubby man grinned, touching his plump cheeks.
One had to admit, he was probably the fattest person Qin Chao had ever seen. In terms of weight, he must have been over 200 pounds.
"Please follow me. Our boss knew you were coming and prepared breakfast. Fresh shrimp, oysters - I'm drooling just thinking about it, haha..." As Fatty spoke, he actually wiped his mouth.
Qin Chao did indeed see the drool. Goodness, was he really that greedy?
But since they were in this seaside city, trying some seafood would be nice. It seemed the other company was quite sincere in their hospitality, even treating them to breakfast.
"Thank you for showing us the way, sir." An Qing, of course, was too polite to call him Fatty, so she responded courteously.
"No problem, please follow me." Fatty walked at a surprisingly fast pace, though his wobbling behind made Qin Chao a bit dizzy.
If Fatty had been a beautiful woman, that would be one thing, but unfortunately, he was not. His ample curves were indeed somewhat dizzying...
Fatty, oblivious to Qin Chao's thoughts, continued to introduce Weilian City's various seafood offerings as they walked.
"Friend, let me tell you, once you're in Weilian City, you must try all kinds of seafood. The crabs, oysters, and shrimp are all incredibly fresh and delicious." As Fatty spoke, he wiped the drool from his mouth.
Seeing drool and hearing about delicious food, Qin Chao and An Qing soon found themselves in front of a medium-sized yacht.
The yacht was docked at the pier. This white cruise ship had three levels and was nearly 100 meters long. Qin Chao couldn't help but marvel at the wealth of the company that owned such a vessel.
Why would such a wealthy company come to Sunan City to collaborate with Tianying Company? Qin Chao couldn't make sense of the business world, so he left that to Li Xue.
His job was to enjoy the seafood... ahem, evaluate the other company.
The three of them boarded the yacht, where they were greeted by staff dressed in white sailor uniforms.
"Follow me, the dining room is just ahead." Fatty led the two with a smile on his face, entering a large room on the first floor.
The room was quite spacious, and Qin Chao felt like he had stepped into a luxurious Western-style restaurant. In the center of the hall stood a long rectangular table laden with plates. Various seafood dishes and red wine filled the table.
"Breakfast is ready. Please enjoy your meal."
The Fatty stood nearby, grinning at the two. "Where are your company's people?" Qin Chao and An Qing inquired while seated in armchairs, addressing the portly fellow.
"Just a moment, our account manager will personally attend to you both," Fatty responded before stepping slightly to the side.
At that moment, a tall, slender man dressed in a white suit emerged from another room in the restaurant. This man possessed a peculiar aura that seemed to blend seamlessly with his surroundings. Qin Chao squinted his eyes slightly, feeling as though he had met this man before.
"Welcome, friends from Tianying Company, who have traveled from afar. I have prepared breakfast for us; let us dine first and discuss business afterward." The man in the white suit elegantly sat opposite them, gesturing with his hand.
The Fatty immediately poured red wine for both Qin Chao and An Qing. "Let us drink to the hope of a long-lasting partnership between our two parties," the man in the white suit declared as he raised his glass.
Seeing their host's courtesy, Qin Chao and An Qing naturally did not refuse. "I still hope to learn more about your esteemed company before we can establish a partnership between us," An Qing remarked.
"Do not worry," the other party assured, nodding. "I will ensure your satisfaction."
With that, the man in the white suit drained his glass of red wine. "In that case, we too have come with considerable sincerity," Qin Chao said, not one for dawdling as he lifted his glass. "May our collaboration be fruitful."
As long as they could secure a few more business deals, he would earn a significant amount of money. Once he had accumulated five million, he could marry Su Ji. With that thought, Qin Chao emptied his glass.
"Excellent!" A glint flashed in the white-suited man's eyes, and he clapped his hands encouragingly. At that moment, the windows around them suddenly darkened.
Iron plates sealed all the windows, and figures dressed as ninjas in dark blue attire emerged from the shadows. In an instant, forty or fifty ninjas appeared in the restaurant, brandishing their katanas menacingly and pointing them at Qin Chao.
"Mr. Qin, now that you have drunk this wine, it is time for us to discuss business," the man in the white suit chuckled. He stretched out his hand and swiftly removed his suit.
In the instant the suit was removed, the man's appearance changed entirely. Clad in white ninja garb, only a pair of small eyes were visible. "I am Kuro, an elite ninja from Japan Imperial Household."
The Fatty beside him also burst into laughter, grabbing an unpeeled shrimp from the table and stuffing it directly into his mouth.
The crunching sound of water being chewed emerged as Fatty also tore off his original clothes. Clad in similar white ninja attire, his round figure resembled a large white ball. "I am Kiryu, an elite ninja from the Imperial Household," he announced.
Qin Chao set down his wine glass, startled by the revelation. The Black Dragon Society had truly gone all out this time, not only devising such a scheme to lure him in but also dispatching two elite ninjas. They truly held him in high regard. An Qing, somewhat panicked, sought refuge behind Qin Chao.
"The Black Dragon Society is quite generous to me," Qin Chao said with a grin, retrieving a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it. "To think you would deploy such a grand display for my sake."
"Qin Chao, hand over your cultivation techniques," Kuro demanded coldly, his laughter chilling. "We've set up an inescapable trap; there's no way you can flee."
"Flee?" Qin Chao raised an eyebrow. "Why would I flee? Do you think I would be scared of mere fodder like you?"
"Heh, perhaps if there were only intermediate-level ninjas, we might be slightly wary of your strength," Kuro retorted. "But this time, to be absolutely certain, we've sent two elite ninjas!"
He pointed at himself and then at Fatty, who continued to stuff his mouth with shrimp. "Crunch, crunch!" The plump man's mouth was filled with oily juices, leaving him unable to speak. His eyes, however, emanated a fierce light, a stark contrast to his previously jovial demeanor.
"Only two more pieces of fodder," Qin Chao dismissed nonchalantly.
"Mr. Qin, do you not feel anything strange after drinking our wine?" Kuro asked with a smile, seemingly unperturbed by Qin Chao's derisive words.
Upon hearing this, Qin Chao suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, accompanied by a wave of weakness throughout his body. The ninjas had poisoned the wine! Qin Chao's expression shifted slightly, chiding himself for his carelessness. He hastily manipulated the vital energy within his body, allocating a portion to encase the poison.
Had he not been a cultivator beyond the foundation-building stage, the poison alone would have been enough to end his life. Fortunately, his vital energy could circulate anywhere within his body. Wrapping the poison in his energy, he would be able to expel it from his body with a bit of time. However, it seemed Kuro and Kiryu would not afford him that opportunity.
With a wave of Kuro's hand, several ninjas vanished into the void and approached Qin Chao from unseen angles. "All means are ineffective in the face of absolute power," Qin Chao declared.
He brandished his Yin-Yang Bell, shielding An Qing. Simultaneously, with a wave of his hands, he activated his telekinesis, forcibly hurling several approaching ninjas from the air.
